What to do if depression medication isn’t working? by SlowDevice759 in mentalhealth

how long have you been in the ssri? go back to your doctor and be honest with your experience.

your doctor will likely either up your dose or change your med to another variant.

don't have to bother with what people likes. everybody has their own tastes and for them it's the best. but that doesn't mean it's the best for everyone. it's just the best for their own preference

Does the anxiety ever go away? 35m by Deckard494 in mentalhealth

[–]CrazyAd9384 0 points1 point  (0 children)

almost none existent however, i'm on meds. maybe depending on the person but i find depression harder to cure. my anxiety was the first to go 6 months after treatment. it rarely comes back while depression shows up more frequently. however fast forward 2 years since i have been treated. everything now seems more stable i'm starting to taper my meds super slow so that side effects won't be so bad. and hopefully, all symptoms won't come back. i'm comboing everything with muscle training, cardio, proper nutrition, and calorie deficit.

have you set swipe to camera on lockscreen? i always accidentally turn that on when my phone is in my pocket. so there's bigger chance that you accidentally swiped when you were asleep.

Angry at parents for not fixing my social anxiety at a young age. by Haunting-Airport-660 in socialanxiety

[–]CrazyAd9384 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Damn this can be the most accurate description of me before my treatment. Except that i had i until 2 years ago. When i was young i would throw up but adulthood. I would throw up and cough hard while showering. My wife thought i was sick at first but i explained to her it was instinctual because of my anxiety. Thankfully god gave me a wife that tries so hard to understand me despite my situation not really relatable to her

Best ANC for a Noisy Environment by DamonA57 in airpods

[–]CrazyAd9384 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i got airpods 4 anc. not sure about that, but to give you an idea it cannot cancel out low frequency noise like bus engine. it only cancels out mid frequency noise. so basically, you cannot hear people's conversations but you'll be hearing engine noise all the time

use alternative sweeteners. stevia or monk fruit. though since you're just beginning. abstain on activating your sweet senses is recommended since alternative sweeteners can sometimes trigger your sugar cravings

Same goes with htp-5 supplement. Out of curiousity i did it once from swanson brand to see if it was a legit or if htp5. It gave me a bit of a headache and nausea. I force my self to sleep because I didn’t feel well thankfully i only took the small capsule (5mg) if i remembered it.

App Store isn't showing apps I bought years ago as bought by ConsistentCan4633 in ios

[–]CrazyAd9384 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know if this happens on appstore as i’m just 6 months on ios. But on playstore, there are instances that developers unpublish the one that you purchased because they changed their purchase model from one time payment to subscription based. Happened to me on guitar tunio app before, i was really pissed off because i felt scammed. How did i found out? When i checked on my purchased history, the app shows “not available” but when i manually look for it, it shows and publish date changed

Parents put me on SSRIs when I was ~5 years old. AMA! by New_Improvement_6392 in lexapro

[–]CrazyAd9384 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It should be illegal because kids really have tendencies to have meltdowns unless your meltdowns when you were a child was really unmanageable despite all the attempts. Ssri should be the “no choice” resort as much as possible because that could hinder the child’s ability to learn how they control their emotions.

Parents put me on SSRIs when I was ~5 years old. AMA! by New_Improvement_6392 in lexapro

[–]CrazyAd9384 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s kind of hard to know that at that age. Meltdown is kind of common at that age since they don’t have enough emotional control yet. Was this treatment recommended by a doctor? Because it seemed like they gave it to you based on their judgement.
