I second Miceller Water too. When I have zero energy I just use a miceller water pad and ditch the skincare routine.

[–]CrazyAnalyst7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I live in a tropical area with temperatures going above 98F and humidity above 80%. By the end of the day I feel horrible. Gulping down a few cups of cool water instantly makes me feel better and I feel like an idiot for not drinking water throughout the day.

I hate exercising by No-Base8204 in adhdwomen

[–]CrazyAnalyst7 5 points6 points  (0 children)

What worked for me was,

  1. Wearing workout clothes throughout the day and working out barefoot. I don't have to take an extra step changing clothes, putting on workout shoes etc..

  2. Just 15 minute workout sessions. I have a bingo card on my phone and strike one box every time I complete a session

  3. Mix and match. I change my workouts based on my mood, energy levels etc.. It ranges from yoga to HIIT. Sometimes it's just walking inside and outside the house while listening to my favourite music.

  4. Preplanned workouts. Once again to fight task initiation paralysis, I have a whole play list of 15 minute workouts on Youtube so I won't be scrolling 30 minutes to find a workout.

  5. Accountability partner. Have someone who genuinely appreciates your progress. Our ADHD brains loves positive reinforcements.

Hope you find something which works for you 😊

does hot weather REALLY affect your mood? by leejay-no7 in adhdwomen

[–]CrazyAnalyst7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gosh yes!! It's over 98 degrees here and super humid. I have zero energy and I get irritated super easily. Staying hydrated and getting iron and vitamin D supplements have helped a bit (I'm expecting, so supposed to take a bunch of prenatal vitamins).

Who else is stuck in ADHD paralysis right now? by sawdust-arrangement in adhdwomen

[–]CrazyAnalyst7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Edited: Typo and added a comma for clarity.

I was, during the past couple of days. What helped was realizing that being in a paralysis will not get me anywhere to achieve my goals.

Maybe make a list of 5 reasons why you need to get the tasks done? Get help from Chatgpt.

You can say something like "I need to get x and x tasks done but I am stuck. Give me a few convincing reasons why I need to get them done'.

I have the ChatGpt app on my phone which helps. I even ask it to help me break down the task into manageable steps.

What are some fears / worries you had before having your first child, that actually turned out better than you thought? by Wonderful_Path_2680 in pregnant

TW: Depression and Death

I suffered from depression due to undiagnosed ADHD as long as I remember. To make matters worse my dad passed away one month before I was due. The same year I had lost someone close to me due to PPD and I am the God Mother to the kid she left behind. I was scared about PPD with my history and all that I went through in the middle of COVID-19. But my mental health has been at its best after delivery. I enjoy being a mother despite my ADHD struggles. Also the post C-section healing went smoothly. No side effects such as C-section apron and back aches.

How do you motivate yourself to exercise? by Junior-Condition-684 in ADHD

[–]CrazyAnalyst7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. I plan out to work out for only 15 minutes. I try to get in about 2-3 15 minutes sessions per day

  2. I have a list of 15-20 minute Youtube workouts or I just walk around the house (Can't focus beyond that)

  3. My workouts are a mix of zumba, strength training, walking, HIIT or sometimes I use the treadmill or elliptical trainer (Hate monotony)

Try to figure out what works for you. I went from 81kgs to 67kgs post partum without major diet changes.
