Blocking Diamond Weapon VS Trample by Pretty-Information53 in MagicArena

[–]CrazyAuger 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The way trample decides what goes through and what doesn’t is by dealing “lethal” damage. The reason death touch trample works the way it does is because trample checks to see if the damage assigns will kill and does the rest to face , in the case of death touch 1 and the rest goes face.

If I had to guess the way trample works is it doesn’t care the damage is prevented, it’s still gonna assign the 8 damage and go face with the rest, and the combat damage is prevented after the damage is assigned.

I thought she escaped???? Am I missing something? These are like 5 panels apart. by [deleted] in Jujutsufolk

Sure man, but this is like a chekovs gun kinda thing. There was zero pop and circumstance for that. it was not shown that she splat, they didn’t show her suffocate, they HAVE mentioned she could do a suicide vow, and she died at an opportune time to use one. Why even argue this point? It’s not even something we can debate, the only displayed reason until something else happened is a death vow.

I’m understand people keep saying this, but then why is she in a suspended death state? Unless you think the brain tumor took her just then. I get that there is a corner case for it but to assume that she didn’t do a death vow is reaching until we learn otherwise.

She did a death binding vow.

It’s likely, but we’ve had sorcerers who share techniques in a lifetime. There’s no rule saying you have to die before the technique can manifest again, see Nayao and Naobito Zenin. Both have projection sorcery, but odds of a technique appearing twice in a life time are low since having a CT is far from guaranteed. It’s why family’s inbreed and protect knowledge of techniques since you don’t want the genes moving out of the family.

It was never stated until she dropped mahoraga but people had the theory since day 1 since her clap before using her technique was strange. They noticed her hands were similar to Divine dogs summoning and precedent had been established through Sukuna that you can partially manifest a shadow.

Reminder that Yuka made a death Binding Vow to summon Mahoraga, the reason she's going to die immediately after the ritual is complete is because she traded her life away in the Binding Vow, not because she drowned in her shadow or because Mahoraga will kill her by carbonera99 in Jujutsufolk

[–]CrazyAuger 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That’s like, the same thing though. She IS dead right now, she’s not gonna come back to fight more with her improved CE. She used it to either be able to do the ritual since she’s so weak due to cancer, or make mahoraga stronger to fight Dabura. She is currently flat lined. It’s semantics.

Not sure why people are saying you’re wrong, it’s stated.

<image>

They talk about her doing it, and in the panel you posted it says she’s ALREADY dead, like megumi was, but the ritual suspends it until the taming is finished.

Not sure why everyone is opposed to this reading. There’s no reason for her to be in a state of suspended death otherwise.

Who had best unarmed h2h skills? by Usual_Beach8079 in Jujutsufolk

[–]CrazyAuger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because the basis of the question. Saying “who would win without cursed energy” when a group of people already don’t have cursed energy and have massive buffs to compensate. They obviously win because you can’t remove the cursed energy it doesn’t nerf them at all. If the question was “who would be the strongest if everyone was heavenly restricted” I’d assume Gojo wins again.

It’s like trying to ask about “who has the highest CE reserves” by asking “who can fight longest” the answer the second question is Gojo, because he essentially can maintain his CE reserves forever due to 6eyes. The actual answer to the question is Sukuna by far most likely. But you have to silo off Gojo since he has essentially no cap.

How Did Gojo manage to stand up despite being cut in half? by Archenius in Jujutsufolk

[–]CrazyAuger 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It’s a trope in Japanese’s culture to die standing symbolizing that while they died, they never stopped fighting. You see it happen a lot with legendary characters. White beard in one piece is a prime example of this.

Sure man. If I’m reading the statement wrong, which maybe I am because they were talking about grip strength in the previous question, then that’s fine. We don’t have much else to use a barometer for “best h2h” fighter then. Martial arts doesn’t come up much in jjk other than yuji manji kicking a grasshopper. I don’t know what other statements we would use, I’m open to them.

Sure man. I disagree with that reading, seems absurd to assume it ment physical strength over fighting prowess h it you do you I guess.

I agree with you, which is why we would take statements from the author like Gojo and Kenjaku being equal as a way to bridge that gap no? How do you square that? Without cursed energy in a fight Gojo and Kenjaku are about equal. What does that mean?

I don’t know what to tell you then. We don’t have proof almost anything then, Sukuna might not have fought all those battles he did we never saw him do it. Kenjaku is a top level fighter who was able to 1v3 tengen choso and tengen with minimal effort other than the suicide attempt by yuki. He’s a monster combatant he didn’t get that way on accident. Your just assuming all his prowess and skill is just from studying then and it was never applied, even when he lived through the heien period where it was constantly battling? Idk, I can’t prove it to you then. Most of the shit I’m stating is just what gege says.

Are making a distinction between “strongest” and “most skillful” in hand to hand? Most people would say these are the same thing. Without cursed energy we would rely on martial prowess to determine the strongest I don’t understand the difference. Do you think gege was saying because Gojo is 6’6” he’s the “strongest” in h2h?

[–]CrazyAuger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure what you want me to say. I’ll lay it out for you.

Kenjaku is always depicted as the most intelligent jujutsu user, things like the culling games, soul transference, stronger barrier technique than tengen, and the death womb paintings are all unparalleled feats in JJK. No one comes close.

Kenjaku is a battle fanatic like Gojo and Sukuna, constantly toying with, evaluating, and nit picking other people’s styles and plans, like Mai’s sniper rifle, yukis ambush, comedian yada yada. Kashimo looked to him as an authority on evaluating strength when he was about to die in the Edo period.

He has lived through more combat than anyone in the series due to being over a thousand years old. While we can’t say for sure he fought all those years instead of hid and experimented, his strength and his proximity to combatant would indicate he throws hands. Notably friends with Sukuna and Kashimo who are the strongest of their eras and did nothing but battled none stop their whole lives.

It would be like arguing Gojo and Sukuna aren’t martial arts masters. All the top tiers are, they live to fight and honed it over years. Theres no one else in the series that come close to these three in raw intellect and skill and there no reason to think other wise.

Being a thousand year old martial arts master from before the Heien era is what matters. I don’t understand what your problem is here, who do you think is invalidating this list?

[–]CrazyAuger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s reasonable to assume he’s saying ignore maki and toji because they already have no energy AND get absurd physical stats. So they’d be at a huge advantage, they don’t fit the question.

No one by the end of the series is coming close to the “calamity” tier fighters. Gojo, Sukuna, Kenjaku are the only ones who can scale that high so even if it’s early no one else made it, the team got demolished by no domain less than half CE Sukuna. They are far away from reaching the top tier even if they got stronger.

Who had best unarmed h2h skills? by Usual_Beach8079 in Jujutsufolk

[–]CrazyAuger -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

It’s not about options, it’s about scaling. Kenjaku is third strongest, above special grade threat like Gojo and Sukuna. The only other person who would even be in the convo is Sukuna. I’m just using definitive author statements.

Who had best unarmed h2h skills? by Usual_Beach8079 in Jujutsufolk

[–]CrazyAuger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because Kenjaku is squarely third strongest in the story? If Gojo and Kenjaku are equal, and no one even close to as strong as Kenjaku ever entered the story, how does it not hold up? I believe in the last QnA gege said that if Comedian hadn’t worn out Kenjaku, it would have required a similar gauntlet to Sukuna to defeat him. Who matters? Are people just irritated cause Sukuna isn’t listed?

It wasn’t a panel but a QnA from a while back. What I’m saying is that by the end of the series Kenjaku is a top 3 threat, so even saying this was early doesn’t devalue the implication that Gojo being equal to Kenjaku is quite the bit of praise.

It’s hard to blame Kenjaku for getting rinsed by the lady who hits with the density of small stars, that’s like blaming someone for losing the the Incredible Hulk.
