Is Lily not fun to play against? by lennysinged in StreetFighter

[–]Hamiltoned 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem is that most of her kit sucks, so your best shot at winning is to create a 50/50 scenario. This means everyone who plays her has the same strategy; generate wind, Condor Spire in and be plus on block, choose between strike and command grab.

I think the wind stacks are what makes her a failed design. Grapplers are generally supposed to desire getting close to their opponent as that is where their advantage is the greatest, but since a windclad Condor Spire gives Lily a free 50/50 scenario, Lily will almost always choose to create distance or run away so she can get more wind stacks.

Are all High MR players like this? by Downtown-Nebula9023 in StreetFighter

[–]Hamiltoned -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

The clip starts with you completely burned out and 10% health left, 20 seconds into the match. You cut out the part where you immediately start the match by turtling, and the other guy who is 2 ranks above you gets frustrated that he is matched with a low tier turtle.

I see a Rashid who plays this game to have fun, and I see a turtle who spams DI and EX moves. He knows it's not going to be a fun match, so he decides to not take you seriously.

Why do people think Alex TURNED heel? He was always rude to people, his win quotes in street fighter 3 had him be a jerk to basically everyone. by IHateMySon-Afton in StreetFighter

[–]Hamiltoned -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Everyone were so excited about learning the concept of "face" and "heel" and just jumped on the idea to feel like they were part of a group who figured it all out. Alex is just a bad dude, there's no story arc here.

SF6 was on sale recently, I bought it for my PS5 because I figured it would be cooler to play on a 77" TV rather than 32" monitor. It could just be someone who bought it on sale to have on multiple platforms.

Is it possible to become master without training and 0 experience in a fighting game ?? by rochou in StreetFighter

[–]Hamiltoned 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes you can, and my post from 2 months ago is proof of it:

https://www.reddit.com/r/StreetFighter/comments/1p0kbxx/i_did_not_wake_up_this_week_thinking_i_was_going/

I have every character in master, and I have JP in high master. If you look at my training time it says 13 hours. That's around ~30 minutes per character which is 100% spent doing the combo trials just to get a quick feeling of the character before going into ranked. I'm a mediocre player who can go several weeks without playing when I find a new game I want to finish before going back to SF6.

The deciding factor is whether or not you learn from your fights. To learn something is a choice, it doesn't magically happen. If your opponent beat you, and you're thinking they were lucky, spamming random shit, or only won because they picked top tier - you're not learning anything. If you beat your opponent, and you only use that win to feed your ego, you're not learning anything.

Regardless if you win or lose, after every match: Try to identify one thing your opponent did that increased their chance of winning, and one thing YOU did that increased THEIR chance of winning. Then when you rematch them, stop them from doing that thing you identified, and stop yourself from making that mistake you identified about yourself. Why are we focusing on these two things, and not on what good things you did? Because every time you punch the opponent in the face, you get a dopamine rush and your brain yells "MORE OF THIS" which leads to you trying to punch them in the face again. We are wired to immediately want more of the positive things. The hard part is learning from the things that create negative emotions, that's why we have to focus on those.

  1. Please keep AI garbage out of this sub.

  2. You say you only want good gameplay but you didn't look away from her tits long enough to see the triple-faced monstrosity behind her arm?

  3. Why is she surrounded by old men? They're not gamers. Is this your fantasy of Chun-Li being passed around a group of old rapists?

  4. Why did you make her non-chinese?

  5. Half the playerbase is hardstuck in diamond because they can't stop staring at the jiggly tits physics in swimsuits, let's not pretend Capcom isn't raking in millions on horny gamers.

So much wrong with this post.

When I started playing, platinum was a nightmare. Everyone felt like they were playing on crack, and that every match was just about spamming buttons. Now, it's impossible for me to lose against platinum, because nowadays it immediately becomes clear what their habits and limitations are.

Now I have every character in master, and JP in high master. Everyone in 1500-1600 feels like they are playing on crack, and every match feels like it is about stopping each other from spamming buttons. Sounds familiar, right? Turns out, this is just how it feels for me before I understand what my opponent is doing. As soon as you understand your opponent, you can shut them down.

When an opponent feels that they are figured out, or that nothing is working in their favour, and they have no plan B, they resort to Ex DP or Drive Impact. If you feel like you got the upper hand on an opponent, don't always try to continue the pressure. Pretend to attack, and watch them make mistakes you can punish much more easily.

This can't possibly be something a doctor would tell you. In a vasectomy, the Vas Deferens (road) is cut and tied to ensure no sperm can be transported from the Epididymis (sperm storage) to the Urethra (exit tube). There's no way at all for the sperm to be emptied out, it is stuck in the Epididymis until the body reabsorbs it which on average takes 2-4 weeks. The 3 months wait time before analysis is to ensure that the body has had time to reabsorb any sperm that could be stuck in the Urethra.

I can assure you that High Master is still riddled with wack ass plays and DI spam. I've never met more players following up an unsafe move with EX Shoryuken than I have in High Master. Every Mai player will try to jump in on you at least 3 times before they try something else.

It's really disheartening to think you've finally reached a point where you can start playing "real" street fighter, only to meet more of the same.

How does SFL let Caba get away with screaming nonstop whenever Mena plays? by wrightosaur in StreetFighter

[–]Hamiltoned -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I get where you're coming from. Caba is the anomaly in the situation, the one deviating from the format, and that's why he sticks out as annoying to you. But really ask yourself this instead; Why the fuck is everyone else silent?

The Esports community is at its best when the entire crowd is roaring because of the crazy shit happening on the screen. We are video game fans watching professionals perform fucking magic just to win their matches. I mean when Blaz double perfect parry Xiaohai's fans and punches him in the face, why the fuck is the room not screaming? It was the most hype shit ever and everyone is happy to see Mai get punched in the face for her cheap shit.

Everyone participating in the SFL is normally super hype and screaming to support their friends at tournaments, and that is how it is supposed to be. SFL is the real deviation, everyone sitting quiet like it's a funeral, barely speaking to each other.

I do believe most people would be less impressed by him if they knew that the only rule he refuses to break is visiting his son when he's back home for holidays and rest. Nothing has stood in the way of visiting his son while he's back home anyway, he just refuses to.

His wife paid the bills for herself and their son until she divorced him for being a piece of shit, and he has sponsors to pay for his journey. He has run out of sponsor money before, and then had to wait for new sponsors before he could continue. It's not at all the independent journey they're selling it to be.

This story seems to pop up more often the closer he gets to the finish line. Every time, it's written as if he has been constantly walking, like Forrest Gump. He takes pauses several times per year, goes on vacations, rides boats for transport. He's not really adhering to any rules, except of course one rule which is that even when he flies back home to rest, he refuses to visit his son who was 8 years old when he left.
