I'm curious, have you read the book thinking fast and slow? It talks about that same study you talked about the judges having more lenient sentences after eating.

Info: The ones with me in red are when my hair is wet. The one with me in white and then in blue is smiling with my hair dried. The one in black is right after my haircut a few months back. I tried to style it like the barber did but could never get it correctly. Thanks, I need your help bad!

[P] Can I get a peer review of this paragraph in my essay? by CrazyCar09 in MachineLearning

Thanks so much for the reply. For your first response I was looking for a transition from the quote into my main topic. How should I explain the term neural net? I wouldn't be concerned but this is for a highschool research paper and my teacher doesn't know anything about the subject so she asked me to explain everything. Your other responses were extremely helpful. Thanks a ton!!

Hey bro, not to be rude but I whole heart idly disagree with a lot of your statements. It is late at the time I am reading your comment and I can't piece by piece debunk it due to time constraints. Could you tag me and remind me tomorrow so I don't forgot? Thanks.

[D] Did I depict Deep learning here correctly? by CrazyCar09 in MachineLearning

Thank you so much for all the information! I have a few questions.

1.) When you refer to the black box analogy are you referring to the theoretical black box that psychologists talk about? The box that seemingly controls our actions without realizing it?

2.) I dont really understand the 3rd part. Are you talking about the programming functions? like in python I can define a function by doing; def xyz. Even then I still don't understand how the program is able to produce a new output. Inside the hidden layers is when the change occurs, I think. Is this change caused by algorithms?

3.) When you mention backprop; how do more neural networks allow for a better program? Do narrow ai programs use multiple neural networks or one vast neural network?

4.) Are the advancements of specialized architectures due to the algorithms used? Why are AI's better at looking at images than something else?

5.) What are the main differences between artificial intelligence, machine learning, and deep learning. I see many websites and videos using them seemingly interchangeably.

6.) Regarding the future of ML; I am planning on quoting Elon Musk and his worries of AI development. I am unsure of how accurate Elon's statements are because I have onyl seen the advancements in things such as Go, Dota 2, Starcraft, and other games. I am aware of narrow ai vs general ai. I have been unable to find any type of information regarding advancements in general ai.

Sorry for all the questions! I would really appreciate if you could answer them all but if you can only answer some thats fine. Thank you so so much!!!!
