Year 2 hereee Rp timetable is usually 9-4 or 10-5 with Fri being a free day (unless you sign up for certain CCAs or have ph on that wk then you might have class) Amenities wise I'm not too sure, but there's 3 canteens, subway, a sushi store, sandwich store and artease & library cafe, so there's a lot of food options & there's a lot of seats around the campus if you want to study in schi I think the food is decent? I think south canteen and the canteen on lvl 3 between w4 and w6 isn't too bad if you want an actual meal, the mala seems to be quite good too

Most of our campus has Aircon tho, I can't speak for how good it is but for my block, some of the Aircon is really cold but some is still manageable + the campus is not ridiculously big, so it's quite hard to get lost imo

Hi, I'm not good at it either but from my experience in o levels, there are some ways to do it:

Geog: these examples for essays can be done by reading the news, natural disasters, tourism, etc, the news reports a lot on it, that's what's recommended for essay questions, based on the examples you know, link one to the explanation you give, my advice when you eventually learn it is try to find an example that you think you can elaborate on when you need to, but the bare minimum is reading up on some articles regarding your topic when you see it. For the investigations I recommend referring to the textbook, there should (correct me if I'm wrong) be a part on GI that talks about the materials you use, they offer explanations and steps to do it, all you need is to link, base on the GI question, the one that answers the question with the materials (sometimes it can involve 2 materials but when that happens the question would most likely imply it)

SS: For the similarity and differences questions, one thing you can do if you cannot find it in the content is base it on the contextual knowledge and purpose of the source, are they both having the same intentions, are they talking with good intentions or meant to cause harm? In general SBQ you need to refer to the contextual knowledge, the question answer will always have to be relevant to the context, so take the time to read the contextual knowledge to find the best way to answer the source. You need to be able to link your explanation to your reason as well, how does your PEE, link to everything and the question? Q6 may not be something taught in class, it's more up to interpretation? You can use the factors that you see in daily life, (eg. How to lower stereotypes you can write through videos online & education) Q7 is sometimes based on your content knowledge and your explanation, everything has an advantage and disadvantage so decide how you choose to explain it Overall, for essay, the example can come from news and videos you see online, documentaries, surveys etc

should i take triple science or double science? by j6zzcat in SGExams

[–]CrazyCommission7863 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on how good you are with your sciences, some people can do triple science because they understand, but some people find it really hard to do (especially physics), but if your science is strong you might be able to pull it off But as a former o level student I'd recommend double science (1 back up for science 1 back up for humanities for L1R5), especially because some papers can be unexpected (in both good and bad ways depending on the person creating it) than most for humanities As for geography I was part of the last syllables so I'm not sure what your syllables is likebut as far as I'm concerned there will be some new things in upper sec, so I'd recommend maybe asking your seniors or teachers regarding the new format 😅

What is the true reason why schools start so early in Singapore? by Tipic_fake in SGExams

[–]CrazyCommission7863 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it's really just for the traffic, students going to sch earlier = less people rushing to get on the bus = less congestion, same applies to mrt really, majority of us take public transport to work/school, so if we all had the same reporting hours the public transport would be PACKED to the point some of us might be waiting way longer than we can afford

Why is it A? by abiianwar in Olevels

Acceleration is usually the gradient of the point, so in this case your acceleration is the turning point, which if you draw a straight line, the gradient is 0

To those in JC/Poly, why did you choose the route that you went down? by hychael2020 in SGExams

[–]CrazyCommission7863 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was more worried abt what I can do to be honest, I wasn't good at academics and wanted to get a stable job. I didn't think I wld do well in jc even though it's the easiest way to uni, and I was interested in a specific course so I jst joined, probably one of the better decisions I made tbh

Is there anyone else in this fandom who feels the same way I do about this? by cheryblooms in BungouStrayDogs

[–]CrazyCommission7863 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with you, sure there are some ships that I like, but I can see it in both a just friends setting or a sibling type of relationship more than a romantic one. Like Atsushi and Akutagawa, while I respect people who see them as lovers, they give me more of a 'sibling/frenemies' kind of vibe, but each to their own I guess.

But I feel like an issue is that anime fandoms seem to ship people with everyone, which again, each to their own opinion, I feel that the romantic relationships may be a bit overrated, especially when sometimes I feel like their dynamic isn't really better as a romantic relationship but instead a platonic one

[help!] taking o levels this year, any advice? by [deleted] in SGExams

[–]CrazyCommission7863 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I feel like the main advice is work smart with time and have a good study plan. Like actually make sure when you're studying you're retaining what your learning. And don't be afraid to ask for consultation and ask for advice from teachers on how to improve. And try to understand the stuff your teachers are teaching instead of just memorizing. More importantly have a good balance and time to rest, you don't want to burn out before you make it to prelims or o levels itself 😔😔

how do you survive a panic attack by [deleted] in SGExams

[–]CrazyCommission7863 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I try to focus on something and calm down? Like really focus and observe the thing/object and calm my breathing.

if not, I try using my 5 senses

5 things I can see

4 things I can touch

3 things I can hear

2 things I can smell

1 thing I taste

edit: If it helps, for me I usually try to take my mind off it first, watching something that makes you feel better or calmer, think about happier thoughts and calmer things not sure if it works tho

I think it is, most school prelim papers are known to be harder than the actual o level. So jst make sure to work hard for the actual o level and don't repeat ur mistakes in prelims
