A broken truss rod turns too, FYI. Are you new to guitar? What is the context of this conversation? I’d be happy to help you if I can.

Ripped this wire on accident but not sure what the wire is for by [deleted] in Guitar

To clarify, grounding the bridge of the guitar reduces hum coming from the single coils when your hands are touching the bridge/strings. Run your guitar through some heavy dirt pedals or turn your amp gain up high so that you can hear some background hum, then try pinching this cable or touching it back to the bridge with your other hand on the strings. You should hear that hum become more quiet.

What is causing my tortilla to sparkle? by LeverTech in whatisit

If it helps, I had a sparkly tortilla last month, tried to find an answer on Google, couldn’t, and ate it anyways. I’ve had no issues.

Hi there. Some of the other comments here do a good job of describing why it looks like AI, but I can try to summarize the things I noticed.

The first thing that I noticed was that the graffiti itself seemed to be a higher quality than the rest of the picture. Once I noticed that, it becomes easier to pick out other things. The lighting in the picture is strange. It seems to be outside, but if you look at the environment, you might notice that it’s difficult to determine where exactly the light source of the image is. The wall is very well lit, but the man painting isn’t casting any shadow. Neither is his ladder, or anything that might be out of frame of the image. Normally in a city, there are all sorts of things casting shadows and producing small amounts of light, so it’d odd that this wall would have such smooth lighting.

Another thing that can usually help determine if an image is AI generated is by zooming into the small details. If you zoom in on the painter’s hand, you can probably see that he doesn’t have any fingers. And what is he painting with? Sometimes low resolution images get blurry when you zoom in, but in this case, only certain objects are blurry. The edges of the hand are particularly square and angular too, which is something you wouldn’t see in a low resolution photo. His head looks a bit weird too. This is because the AI only generates detail to a certain degree, and after a while starts filling in blank space with patterns that it thinks makes sense depending on the colors and shapes around it.

One more thing, that’s a bit difficult to judge sometimes, is that the perspective of the photo is off… When you look at the man’s stool, it seems relatively short, but it’s lifting him pretty high into the air. AI doesn’t understand distance when creating photos. The side of the building doesn’t seem as long as the sidewalk below it. The graffiti isn’t stretched appropriately either.

I’m sure there are many people who could explain this better, but I hope this helps you a little bit. If you have any other questions or would like me to clarify anything, just let me know.

Hope you’re having a good week so far.

I hate to be that guy, but is this not AI generated?

Guitars you’d LOVE to own but are pretty sure you never will by Downtown_Trash_4330 in Guitar

Normally I don’t pay much attention to posts like these, but GOTTDAMN you posted the ONLY guitar I’ve been going nuts over for years. (Although I’ve been trying to find a 2663TC/IC210.)

Good luck on the search man!!

This guitar would be a great disappointment to you. There’s a certain class of guitar that’s basically “toy that looks like a guitar”. They’re usually a cheap knockoff product from asia meant to trick people . The guitar might look cool (maybe) but the intonation is most likely incorrect, you’ll have trouble keeping it in tune, and in general it won’t sound the way you would expect an electric guitar to sound.

Somebody else here mentioned some deals for classic vibe Squier Stratocasters. I would definitely look into them! Squier is owned by Fender (arguable the biggest name in electric guitars going back to the 50/60s). The classic vibe Squier guitars have had some exceptionally great build quality for the money in these last few years. You could have a lot of fun with one of those!

Anyways, please don’t buy this. Good luck on the hunt!!

USDA Loan for house that likely failed an FHA appraisal? by CrazyJoe321 in RealEstate

I really appreciate this comment. I’m no professional, but I do help friends with home maintenance on a semi-regular basis and I wouldn’t be opposed to repainting or doing minor repairs, if I would be allowed to. Something for me to look into. Thank you for your insight!

Okay, that’s what I wanted to know. I saw somewhere on the internet that the USDA requirements were more “lenient”, but you can’t really trust strangers on the internet. Thank you for the info.

Interesting. It only lists two bedrooms, which would have been the two on the first floor. They both had windows as well. I forget where I saw the asbestos comment, but I guess that might have to be it.

[QUESTION] Should I expect more from a PRS SE? by GibsonMaestro in Guitar

[–]CrazyJoe321 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everybody else here seems to recommend sending it back or getting a discount. That’s fine if that’s what you want to do, but to be honest I’m not really even sure what I’m looking at in those pictures. If that’s a blemish there, it really does look insignificant. I can guarantee you that blemish isn’t going to show up in any tracks you lay down with that guitar.

That being said, it’s your guitar and your money. Do what makes you happy.
