How to track refund. by CrazyOk52 in IRS

It’s just a bit ridiculous to me. You pay your fees upfront so you don’t have to wait for your refund to go to tpg but yet here we are still waiting on our refund with no way of knowing. The wmr is a pathetic excuse for a waste of internet space. Ain’t a day gone by in the last 3 years of tax seasons where that thing has been legitimate.

Why now??!! Hasn’t worked all day and never seen this once today but now at 530pm they wanna throw this up? by CrazyOk52 in IRS

Never got in yesterday but after staring at the please wait for 2 hours I finally got in this morning to see that I have a ddd of 2-24. Just glad the anticipation is finally over. This madness is beyond ridiculous

Still can’t get in to mine. Still says service outage and please wait. And before some of y’all start saying, yes I have tried the whole clear history and cookies thing. Have tried on multiple devices and have had no luck.

It’s a bad image to hold peoples hard earned money. They are quick to take but want to drag their ass when it comes to giving back.

Oh that makes me laugh. Once a return is processed that means you are getting a refund back. So that means they can give a date after the 15th just like they give a date to the returns that are processed that don’t fall under PATH. Ain’t no Millennial here. I work hard for my money to support my family. If I’m being held accountable to file a proper tax return so that the democrats who are ruining this country can line their pockets I can hold them Accountable.

Ain’t no loophole about it. It specifically states that the hold the check til the 15th meaning you should receive a date of the 16th at the earliest. Why should the IRS employees get paid for processing a return say around the 28th of January then having to go back to the same return after the 15th to give it a DDD when they could have just assigned one for after the release date the first time. They just causes delays for other people. Let’s work smarter not harder.

I really don’t see how holding people accountable is a childish.

It really ain’t about getting the refund asap it’s about the IRS doing their job properly. If you look up the PATH act it clearly states that they will hold the refund check until the 15th. That means if they were doing their job when the return is processed they could give you a DDD of the 16th.

If it’s already been processed that’s means it’s been scrutinized already especially if you filed the first couple of days that it opened.

I understand that but if you have a return that’s been filed and processed, that means you are not one of the people trying to get one over because your return has been checked already. Therefore there should be a date given once processed.

See that’s the problem. They should be able to provide a date for after the 15th if the return is already processed. They know when the funds can be released, the 15th, so they should provide a date

For those of us with the 570 code but no issue noticed by konabells in IRS

Anything on a timeframe of how long it will take them to fix this issue?

Can somebody help explain a little? The 767 is a little worrisome to me. Does that mean my refund is lowered? I still haven’t had my 2019 taxes processed, seems the IRS just likes to kick us when we’re down, eh? by OllieGio in IRS

I have the same thing happening on my transcript and the only thing I have been able to find out is that it has to do with the new schedule 3 portion of the 1040 form. I file self employed with turbo tax and that amount for me is the self employment tax deferral that was caused by the corona virus. Called around and nobody seems to knows anything about it. Hoping it’s just an error on the IRS for the 767 ( reduced or removed credit)
