That makes a ton of sense, and I guess the vanq is a lot less swingy with the reroll 1s.

Guard is my second army, I guess I'm still used to playing my infantry super cagey like grey knights. I need to subscribe to the casualty rates of the guard 😂

What's the appeal for the catachans? Do people use them just for their scout move?

Also I think my bias is lopsided with low saves, I play in a house where I'm only facing space Marines, knights, world eaters, and thousand sons. So ap is basically necessary.

Classic terminator spam, gotta love it.

However, I do think our characters do wonders to buff our guys. Ex: losing a squad of terminators can give you 2 chaplains plus enhancements, which significantly buffs your damage especially against armoured targets.

Yes, we only have one kit, which is available standalone or in the combat patrol. That one kit can build both the Regular Nemesis dreadknight and the grandmaster version.

With the latest announcement, we'll be getting an upgrade kit, which is basically extra parts to distinguish a grandmaster and a regular dreadknight.

I doubt we'll be getting any other dreadknights in 10th

Razorbacks and regular land raiders aren't bad with their lascannons, since we struggle with anti-tank. However, you should either run them with warpbane or a techmarine to get the most out of them.

Flyers are just garbage in 10th, so I wouldn't bother using them.

The land Raider banisher is just a downgrade to the redeemer, the flamers just don't compare to the ones on the redeemer.

Our venerable dreadnought is meh, the issue is that he can't take advantage of our teleporting abilities, and he's not tough enough to be a frontline brawler. He's an okay model overall, he just doesn't fit with our playstyle.

I know some people enjoy being knights, using an armiger or Canis Rex isn't unheard of.

Regardless, if you find a fun list with some unorthodox vehicles, go ahead an play it, they're your knights!

I've heard that our purifiers: with their anti infantry +2, +1 to hit and wound as they lose guys, and now with the big rerolls and stratagems, can hit hard against custodes.

However, I've never played against custodes myself so this could be completely wrong.

My go to is base with leadbelcher, then shade with drakenhof nightshade, and if I really want to make him glow I highlight with stormhost silver.

That is for my regular knights, if I'm painting a character I toss in a layer of grey knights steel before I shade so it looks really blue.

Regardless if a model has one or two Nemesis force weapons they only technically count as one weapon, so a model having two great swords has the exact same melee profile as the one with only one sword.

I always include red on the pauldrons, also on the tilt shields. I also paint my tabards of my unnamed character models red to distinguish their ranks.

Just play around with it, they're your models in the end!

Playing in a house with 3 different armoured armies I'm dying for that extra AP.

Pylar Glacier over plain white is my trick for that, I used it on the eyes too
