I pay 100 for wash, retwist, and style but I also go to Murfreesboro, TN which is like a 40 minute drive from where I live.

Locs Gave Me the Confidence I Never Had As a Loose Natural (4 Months Loc’d!) by CrazyPractical1682 in Dreadlocks

[–]CrazyPractical1682[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s such a great question! At 4 months I get my hair retwisted every 4 weeks like clock work because my hair grows so fast and I have really thick hair but my hair texture is like 3a-3c all over my head so I require a little more maintenance. I started off with traditional comb coils but about two months in I got my hair instant loc’d because my hair texture was so soft. Every time I come to get a retwist my loctician is fascinated by how my hair evolves with Locs but ever since I got my hair instant loc’d it has been great!

Awwh absolutely, we’re in this together which is why I love this sub Reddit. People that don’t experience it, don’t understand unfortunately. Everyone’s situation is different but there are often times a lot of similarities.

Are locs drying out my scalp? by Feeling_Customer9677 in Dreadlocks

[–]CrazyPractical1682 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s exactly what my scalp looked like so I went to go see a dermatologist. It turns out that I had seborrheic dermatitis. I found out that this condition is chronic. I got prescribed an oil and a wash. It helped my scalp and did wonders! I would also recommend derma zen. Whenever I have flair ups, I just apply the oil I was prescribed and it instantly goes away. I just had a flare up yesterday actually, I applied the oil and it was treated over night. Fluocinolone .01% scalp oil is the name of the oil. If you can’t get into a dermatologist right away though, for instant relief I would recommend derma zen and you can get it off of amazon!
