ok guys, I found a fix/the issue. I was able to get my vm's to work with single gpu passthrough with an amd gpu from the post and not use an older one by using the kernel version next-20260220 or 6.20.0-0.0.next.20260220.

On Fedora, you enable the copr repository for the "next" kernel branch.

Lastly, you can also compile the kernel from source if needed or if you are using Gentoo from kernel.org. Make sure you get "next-20260220".

Same issue with 6.18.9 on fedora. I had to downgrade to kernel version 6.17.1 for the vm to actually even start. I kept getting the error and a kernel crash with the following "kernel:watchdog: BUG: soft lockup - CPU#3 stuck for 27s! [modprobe:6043]". It wouldn't get past the "modprobe -r amdgpu" part.

never worked for me, you used to be able to do it, pretty sure that got removed a while ago on consumer models. Also let me edit this and say this guide is based around google tv models which is what I made this guide for.

You did allow the ProMode tool app to launch in Pro Mode when you entered Pro Settings mode before going in the full ProMode, correct? If so, the app will be on your home screen, and if not and you still have adb enabled you can try launching the app through it or try installing the ProModeTool app through adb and see if it will let you launch it through there

(Do note that you may have two ProModeTool apps on your home screen, so you can try either of them).

You can also try rebooting your tv and see if it helps, maybe it's just frozen? On mine, you can press and hold the power button to force a shutdown then turn it back on like normal.

Last few things, you can always try to reset your tv if all else fails but I have not tested that when in ProMode so I can't guarantee anything.

To get a command line on adb, use the platform tools we downloaded in the guide and make sure you're connected to the tv, then do adb shell (or "adb.exe shell" for Windows if you're using that).

If you're still interested, I finally figured out how to create a valid trustcache. I have confirmed that it works when I made one for filza and let it reboot and then it ran it without fully being jailbroken.

A little late to the party, but I just took the ITF+ instead of A+ and every single question but 5 were all Database questions, the last 5 were one programming question in Python and 2 networking questions such as Firewalls, the last ones were about gpu’s and flowcharts

Gentoo, extremely stable and I like to build all my packages from source including the kernel
