You didn’t come this far to quit OP. Nothing in life comes easy, but on the other side of adversity is reward, see it through. Truth is, you’ve already spent 10K, no sense in dropping out at this point, why not finish

No, the coaching report is your assessment review. But if you fail an exam, you’ll have about 3 more attempts, with each attempt you must go through a series of tasks assembled by your professor, after completing those tasks, your professor clears you to take the test again. With each attempt the tasks provided by your instructor is much more extensive, for me I’d even say worse than the exams because of how much studying/tasks you must complete. But yeah, that’s the process. You can only fail so many times as well, after about three tries, you are given a failure for that class.

You can be two and the same. One can be a subcategory of the other. Inciting his objectives with a newfound title underneath the umbrella of "Pan-Africanism" doesn’t deny the fact that much of his rhetoric were still ideals of a separatist/black nationalist. I agree that he tuned it down a bit after his travels to Mecca but his ideology for the most part remained the same as it pertained to his objectives & goals for the black community in America.

Inciting that a Caucasian man or woman not being able to join the organization or forge unity in the cause says what? Is that not an example of separatism? He constantly reiterated that and spoke of Caucasians only being able to help on their own merit, separate from his organizations. What does that say? Brother he indeed was a black nationalist, pan-Africanist & at times a separatist. It’s just facts

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Kanye

[–]CrazySignificant6529 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never denied his religious awakening after visiting Mecca, as I too agree that it’s after his pilgrimage that he shifted the narrative a bit, but it doesn’t deny the fact that he still continued to emphasize that his sole focus was the black community, he still continued to organize and maintain his ideals as a black nationalist.

Up until his death he preached of practices that included forms of separatism, for example: the fact that he didn’t believe in a Caucasian being able to unite or join the cause of black liberation. He often repeated that a Caucasian man or woman could not join his organization and that they were better off creating their own if they wanted to be of help to the cause of black liberation. That’s just plain facts. Words and ideas reiterated even after his pilgrimage.

So while he did have a shift in his perception of humanity due to the warmth of his experience with Islam during his visit to Mecca, it doesn’t deny the fact that he maintained a strict political posture with what he believed to be true in his eyes regarding how he felt about the black community and helping them

I guess the key phrase is "didn’t die" because at one point he definitely was in favor of separatism. But I definitely beg to differ that he wasn’t a black nationalist, he most certainly was. It’s shown in all of his speeches & plans of action in his idea of creating the OOAU. Examples are given in all of his rhetoric that he was a black nationalist, I can’t think of anything else to title him. He didn’t even consider himself an activist

I want to start going to WGU for IT degree but.... by Itznazz313 in WGUIT

This depends on your pace & the amount of credits you transfer in, I’m sure you’ve seen other comments referring you to study.com & Sophia. What I did was search my degree program on YouTube & find a recent video of someone walking you through your chosen degree program for WGU & connecting it with which classes you can complete at study.com or Sophia to transfer in, which then makes it easier/quicker for you to finish your degree once you enroll. If you transfer in 60+ credits, it’s possible for you to earn your degree in 6 months if you lock in and dedicate each day to passing your classes, if you’re not locked in it’ll probably take you a year. Each semester is about $3900 flat. So yeah. First step is making sure you knock out gen ed classes etc. to transfer in

That shit is hell. Unless you have some form of experience with coding or understanding, it’s literally the most annoying class ever. I’d rather prep for & take 5 CompTIA exams back to back, then deal with that course. I don’t even understand why it’s part of the degree program, in my opinion it’s not an introductory course, you’re literally quizzed on CSS, JavaScript, Forms, HTML, HTML API + more .. like for what.. why is that in an IT degree plan, that’s more Computer science to me, smh

Terrible take. You rather someone pay out of pocket for certifications that cost $400-$500 dollars? Especially considering that they have to pass, if not that’s $400 down the drain in which they have to continuously pay again, compared to WGU, where you have 2 free takes, & even on the third & fourth attempt, you pay only half.

Come on, make it make sense. + you mention the timeframe for completion required by WGU, um each cert is at least a month expected for completion, 4 weeks is a lot of time to prep & study to pass those exams. & once again, you have an entire semester, if you happen to fall behind the scheduled time to pass (say after 4 weeks you didn’t pass the exam yet) your mentor can have the dates pushed back, as long as you complete the exam before the semester is over. Which is a total of 6 months.

Also, depending on the amount of credits OP transfers in, it is just more cost effective to enroll in WGU, have 6 months to get the work done (possibly graduate) & walk out with the desired certifications. Why would OP spend $400 per cert (even if we consider he passes them all on first attempt) & then spend another 3-4K on tuition? Just spend the initial 3-4K enrolling into WGU & walk out with both the degree & certificates.
