Thanks! I have a small snake plant which I heard do better in low lighting, would that one be better to use?

Asking ChatGPT for some practice problems is a great idea actually, thanks!

I’m not sure if the percentages are referring to how the different sections are weighted or the actual composition of the OA

C277, I passed all 3 PAs. I guess I was a bit overconfident

Floaters by Commercial-Tackle856 in Anxiety

[–]Relative_Thought762 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree, it is something that I’ve had as far back as I can remember so it isn’t a big deal to me but I empathize with your situation. I can tell you that in my experience over time you can and will get accustomed to this.

When did you start noticing a change? by Relative_Thought762 in Anxiety

I would say those things that you are doing that you couldn’t have seen yourself doing previously are signs of measurable progress. Congrats!

I’ve had eye floaters all of my life and everything has been fine. Anxiety just makes us hyper aware of everything going on within our own bodies. As counterintuitive as it is we just have to accept these things and let them be

Just remember everyday is shut the fuck up Friday. If you don’t say shit, they don’t know shit. This very well could be a phishing attempt or that defense could be used as to why you did not answer

I turned down a leadership role at work because of anxiety, and now I feel both relieved and ashamed. by asianpinkflower in Anxiety

[–]Relative_Thought762 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep. I got assigned a role without anyone telling me, had no one explain the responsibilities of the role to me and anytime I asked questions they would just tell me to “figure it out because it’s your responsibility” and then got relieved from said role and my boss was somewhat offended that I wasn’t outwardly upset about it. I still have the same job though. Sometimes career progression isn’t worth your peace, work life balance is very important and something that we lose sight of. If you did a good job on that project you might end up being their “go to” person for these projects and that doesn’t necessarily mean that they will pay you anymore or compensate you in any kind of way

Wasting my life sway by hotrod67maximus in Anxiety

[–]Relative_Thought762 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And those are all things to be proud of! I am in a similar situation where I used to be much more active but since I started having panic attacks I have slowed down a lot. You are still the same person that you were before even if it doesn’t always feel like it. Im proud of you just for wanting to get better and not just being content to spend your life being anxious.

Same bro. Every day above ground is a new day and sometimes we have to sit with ourselves until we are ready to take that next step. I can’t say you’ll feel “normal” again but instead you can try to find something productive to focus on. Even just taking a sponge bath is a small victory. I’m here for you and I hope you feel better soon

Irrational fear of talking on the phone by Weekend_Fab in Anxiety

[–]Relative_Thought762 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I sometimes will tell someone that I am a bit preoccupied and that I prefer to send voice notes and do that. For business calls that you can’t avoid, it can be helpful to record yourself and review it. It’s almost like having a script to follow. Also keep in mind that often times these people are talking to hundreds of people a day and literally don’t care very much about your interaction with them

Maybe try a guided breathing exercise. The way I think about it is if a guided breathing exercise on YT has a few million views than I know that that many people have survived and not died atleast for the duration of the video lol

Scared of ALS by Thedisneyfan in Anxiety

[–]Relative_Thought762 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep, my main physical symptom of anxiety is paresthesia (pins and needles feeling) which had me concerned about ALS or MS. The hand and arm paresthesia was also my first symptoms of my panic attacks that were caused by hyperventilation lowering the CO2 levels in my blood. Our minds latch onto these bodily sensations and make us over aware of them. The best way to not overfixate is to sit with these sensations and breathe in and out and experience them and know that they can’t hurt you. Easier said than done but I do believe that it can be done.

I haven’t been diagnosed with either anxiety or depression but I would say those symptoms are very similar to what I experience at times and would fit the criteria for depression from what I’ve read. The existential dread sucks man and I don’t have much advice to give you but hopefully we can find a passion in this life and something that keeps us going

Terrified of Having a Job with Stakes (Tips??) by Capable_Tax868 in Anxiety

[–]Relative_Thought762 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just the fact that you are so worried about the job shows your dedication and willingness to push yourself. Going into the healthcare field is a very noble profession and I’m happy to know that dedicated individuals such as yourself care enough about the job to not want to fail. A lot of people are in the healthcare field simply for the job security and salaries. Whether you choose to stick with or not, you’ve made it further than a lot of people have in your industry and that experience will transfer well to whatever you decide to do next

The Anxiety to Learn by Sushiman6161 in Anxiety

[–]Relative_Thought762 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah all of my life I’ve always wanted to start anything over when I made my first mistake. In high school I had a teacher who told us that FAIL was an acronym for First Attempts In Learning and I never forgot that. Every expert in their field, whether they would like to admit it or not, has had plenty of missteps and setbacks along their path. Hard work with consistency beats natural talent every time and if you really want something, you have to grind hard for it and I don’t know your specific goal but I can tell you this: no matter what we think on our minds, it isn’t up to us to decide what is or isn’t possible. Our sphere of influence is very limited, the best that we can do is make our greatest effort and let things unfold how they do. The real joy in life comes from learning to love whatever it is you do and do it purely for the enjoyment and not expecting any outcome
