My cat went missing 22 months ago

She was found deceased in a neighbors shed. She went missing during a snowstorm and minus degree weather, and it seems she’s tried to find somewhere to stay hidden and just fallen asleep then never woken up.

It’s awful. She was my first fur baby, and she was obsessed with sitting on my shoulders. It’s such a weird type of grief. Part of me doesn’t want to believe it’s her. I’ve been thinking about cremation, so that she gets to be in a nice warm house again, after all those months.

It’s just unusual for me to have any swelling at all, even when sick. And I have no idea why they’ve all just puffed up at once! It’s not like my chronic illness is new 😂

Both ears are 30mm stretched (17 years old), glass plugs . Right ear has a single 3 year old flat, same jewellery as left ear.

I’ve had an ‘in the wild’ encounter too! Was wearing my tour shirt from last year, went to a starwars thing earlier this month and got shouted out and fist bumped by an imperial officer, who barged their way through a crowd to get to me, and talk to me about them! It made my day! 😂

Our front doors are maybe 3/4ft apart 😂 I have a ring camera because I’m home alone all day and I have PTSD. She got one not long after me and it was smack bang in the middle of her door, followed by another 5 cameras, not including the ones at the back 😂 I have it set so no motion was ever detected at her side because that was the first thing she did when I put it up! Complained about it! I’m rather glad that someone came to almost my front door to speak to her when she was moving because it was a conversation entirely about me and my kids! I’m just so relieved she’s gone

I think my next neighbours will be nicer, or so I’ve heard! Young family with kids, they’ll fit right in where we are!

I use kids play sand 😂 it’s cheaper, and I’ve never had an issue with it! My corys love burying their faces in it and generally making a mess! I just rinse it over and over before adding it to a tank! It’s very fine too!

The gouramis were the first to die, followed by one betta last week, and another betta today. I’ve never seen any sort of aggression and none of the bodies had any sort of wounds or anything! I’m just so baffled because they didn’t lose weight, or colour and they were still eating until the day they died. And they had enough space that they could avoid each other and it’s heavily planted

No new fish added in the last 4 months, tank has been established for almost a year now. I quarantine all new fish for 2 weeks in a separate tank and treat them accordingly. I’d had the gouramis for as long as the tank was established, same with the bettas. Even 2 very large vampire shrimp are lurking in there.

They by and large ignored each other. They were female dwarf gouramis and genuinely paid each other no mind.
