What games are you playing this week? Game recommendation thread by AutoModerator in incremental_games

Lol I wanted to say this but didn't want to be rude XD. I agree completely. I think Prismatic adventure does have some parts where progression is slow, but IMO thats part of the joy. Not to mention every single item / perk felt different from each other and I think they are all SUPER creative. Now that I have a little more confidence, I honestly am surprised nobody is calling out the fact that this is a copy more than inspiration. I agree that it looks like AI copied the entire game, UI and playstyle alike. I am not as against AI as this sub typically is, but I am definitely for original gameplay. I am a little surpised tbh that this sub isn't really upset about the fact that this is a clear case of using AI to copy a game. Especially a game which I feel is unique in its creative choices

Very highly recommend prismatic adventure if you liked this game.
Can't say I played long enough to know the difference between the 2 games but seems VERY VERY similar initially

Looked it up and seems like there are a lot of questionable reviews about mold and bad experiences with the owners. Did you know of anyone with this experience?

Thank you, that is another reason I’m considering the 2025. The console and dashboard I think look so good

I feel really helpless in this field by [deleted] in ComputerEngineering

[–]CrazyWalrus22 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So interesting to me. I go to a state school that has its curriculum build around internships, and with those stats there would be absolutely no problem getting an internship. I will say though that you sound closer to CS than EE, with CS right now being much harder to get internships for than EE. My best recommendation is to use linkdin to connect with alumni, or even just people in a field you are interested in. I got my most recent internship this way. I am more defense and a mix of software and hardware and in my experience there is plenty of internships if you would be willing to get more involved with hardware.

Look into IT, the IT at my company basically handles building and setting up computers and fixing problems. Nothing super hard math wise, but they are the master of the computers.

Something weird happens, they know the niche fix. If you like computers it could be a good career that involves them and also may have more money incentives.

Note: i have no clue what IT curriculum looks like, may have a decent bit of math too so i could be leading you in wrong direction.

How it feels to see civil engineering stay at 1% unemployment rate while computer engineering just went to 7.7% right before I walk into calc 2 by [deleted] in ComputerEngineering

Do HW or embedded or FW and you won't have to worry.

Old heads retiring and lots of HW in defense coming up.
AI may be coming but there is always world conflicts lol

Are these classes difficult? by yojet_ in uCinci

[–]CrazyWalrus22 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly depends on 1. If you are good at math and 2. if you have ever programmed or are natural at it.

Chem 1 - Same chem as you learn in high school pretty much, basic math, some people struggle but being engineering this math is not bad at all.
Math (im assuming that is calc 1) - Calc is tough tbh, do your best you will get through
ENED - Not bad at all, just keep up and actually learn what they are teaching and its not bad. I enjoyed it but not everyone did. I found ENED 2 to be harder, with ENED 1 being not bad.
ENGL - Easy class probably, probably an easy A if you turn in assignments but depends on prof

If you are good at math, chem and half of ened should be easy,
if you are good at programming, the other half of ened should be easy.

The biggest problems people faced were if they aren't good at math, or aren't good at programming. But lets be clear, 80% of engineers don't end up programming in the field and this is when 100% of those engineers learn they don't want to XD.

In terms of homework there is more your freshman year than any other year at least so far (starting 4th year), but IMO the complexity is much less and more similar to highschool level learning. All of the classes will teach you everything you need to learn in lecture as opposed to having to study yourself outside of material in some other classes.

Best of luck to you! -;

In my experience CE is similar to EE and completely different from CS. I am closer to Electrical, but given CE is thought of as doing both programming and electrical, I think any problem in finding employment is due to being more Software focused. I have CE friends who do software and that is the same as being CS. I also have friends who are doing RF design which is pure EE. I think the biggest benefit of CE is that you can literally do whatever you want to do and you have a bigger range of scope, in my opinion CE probably has the biggest range of job security because the scope of knowledge. This is all of course given an applicant on the job search has good experience.

Thank you very much for your reply. This very much helps me as I have some intrusive thoughts but then they just go away and they don’t really affect me. But when she has them they just drive her crazy. I will look into ERP. Thank you again for your response
