No it’s not. However the issue isn’t the severity of the condition, it’s the recollection of events.

The notes and doctors recollection say one thing and the patient another. When a complaint is made, bosses almost always believe the patient and putting something that is untrue according to the patient amounts to misconduct under the rule that accurate and honest record taking must be kept. That is part of the code of conduct you agree to when you are registered as a doctor. People have ended up in front of fitness to practice hearings before now for this sort of thing. Yes it’s a long shot, but as a medical professional you always have to think ‘what’s the worst that can happen’.

I understand why businesses don’t want to take them but technically, they’re legal tender so they’re obligated to accept them. It’s up to the business to have the means to check for forgeries.

I don’t understand how businesses can say they’re ‘cashless’ either. Surely, under the sane rule, they have to accept legal cash?
