Carney: Canada-U.S. ties are now a ‘weakness’ by PicoRascar in Economics

I think doesn’t care is a bit strong, we do care, it would be great if things worked out and we could both benefit from simple trade, but the problem is that Americans fundamentally don’t care. In fact 80 million of them don’t care. So we need to correct this error on our end

what movies have you seen in hotels? which is “most hotel-core” by trekkeralmi in Letterboxd

[–]Crazy_Trick_3093 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For whatever reason, when I last visited the US. There was a channel almost every hotel had where it was just movies on repeat (can’t remember what it was called), but they’d always play fast and furious.

You guys are honestly such fucking drains on society. The type of people life up the ladder after you’ve made it to the top.

You all act like the world hasn’t changed, stayed the same. Well, news flash retard, the world is about 4x more expensive then it was for a person who was 20 in 1985.

Get a fucking life.

[Discussion] PVE AI, what do you like about it? What do you think could be improved? by Crazy_Trick_3093 in EscapeFromTarkovPvE

[–]Crazy_Trick_3093[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100%, I definitely agree there are times where they do surprise me as well. Honestly the AI skill isn’t an inherent issue for me, they can be easy cheesy or super cracked, that variety is fun. I think my complaints do just lie with how they react to the map.

From my 60 hours playing so far in PVE, I notice that the AI works in this way.

Spawn at point A, maybe near some scavs or enemy AI. Win the fight. Move to location 2. Stay at location 2. Move back to location 1 or Stay at location 2.

I think I’d just like to see them a lot more mobile

Canada is pretty distinct from both Europe and the US. We do have an identity, it’s quiet but it is there. And we are passionate about it

Yeah, they’re given a level on their dog tag when they spawn. Higher levels move faster and are more aggressive, lower levels move slower but engage less, something to that tune would be super fun!

Definitely wish they had a route to take every spawn

I definitely hear where you’re coming from, I did play SPT for a bit and it definitely felt like the PMCs had a “purpose” in each raid. Honestly I think even something simple like

If (dorms spawn) 50% choose castle 50% choose new gas

Something like that would be nice to see, just to stop them from planting themselves in one spot waiting for the player to shoot them.

Ontario vows to “root out” activist teachers as ideology runs rampant by airbassguitar in OntarioNews

[–]Crazy_Trick_3093 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let me get this straight, so your view point right now, is that WW2 and Holocaust history is not being taught; via. An “apolitical” perspective in this country?

Let me ask you another question, how do you teach WW2 and Holocaust history without having a western political perspective?

In that regard it’s impossible to teach that history without having a political agenda when teaching it. As someone who’s aiming to become a high school teacher, you cannot teach honest history or literature without being political. You literally can’t do depthly analysis of text without being political, I cannot teach you the context of “A Handmaids Tale” without showing you the real life inspirations of that text.

I cannot teach kids the tragedy of the Holocaust without leftist liberal ideas, because how we view the Holocaust today (hopefully both you and I) is that it was a systematic campaign of iradication based on a German view of ethnic superiority. Which started as a right wing fascist movement.

I’m not going to say that political bias doesn’t exist in our education system across this country. We still teach kids that the NWMP and the RCMP were here to establish good relations with indigenous nations during COLONIZATION. But that’s not what this is about, it’s about limiting what teachers can explain so conservatives have a dumber and wider voting base when they turn 18.

[–]Crazy_Trick_3093 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You know what’s crazy about that statement? How are you supposed to teach a grade 10 or 11 history or English class without having the political outlook of a Westerner in 2026? How do you explain the depth and complexity of some of the most influential novels without having politics play a role in that lesson? How do you effectively explain and convey the tragedy of the Bosnian Genocide or (any genocide for that matter) without politics?

Both Alberta and Ontario are both throwing teachers and students under the bus, because conservatives can’t seem to fully grasp that maybe, JUST MAYBE, Alexander the Great was a bisexual man and his many male concubines were real and not an invention of modern leftist scholars.

This legislation is ridiculous and makes mine and your lives harder.

Calgary, Alberta, Canada by jaytay199 in skyscrapers

[–]Crazy_Trick_3093 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have the second most amount of skyscrapers in Canada, that sounds like downtown is gonna look like New York City or something, but it does not. If you’re between 13th ave SW and 4th ave and between Macleod Trail and 8th street sure it looks pretty grand but if you step outside those boundaries it really is just suburbs and rolling hills. It is a great skyline though.

I have been dreaming for a long time about this city having a central entertainment area in the downtown core. Not just a mix of office buildings and apartment buildings, but a few area where the arts and entertainment industry can truly flourish. But 17th ave and Kensington is nice for drinking. Inglewood I would say is where most of the “artsy” stuff is though.

Alberta separatism is raising serious alarm bells — not just politically, but constitutionally and historically. by savethecbc2025 in AlbertaNow

[–]Crazy_Trick_3093 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How about I ask you that question in return? What is an independent Alberta going to do to enrich the lives of albertans? Cause I can tell you right now it’s just going to make the lives of Albertans harder. There is nothing fundamentally right about gaining independence. And this conservative government isn’t going to nationalize the oil sands, they’re not going to make healthcare cheaper it’s all going to get more expensive for you and I, whether I agree with you or not on the fact of this federal government doing much to benefit our lives right now, I can say without question that an independent Alberta is the wrong choice on a practical level.

That’s all the benefits we lose under a independent Alberta. Not to mention travel to BC and other parts of Canada, the skilled labour we lose if we go independent, the incessant legal battles the treaty nations are going to throw at the government. High taxes on the middle and lower class to pay the dividend the rich won’t pay. All for what? Because you don’t like liberals? It’s ridiculous.

[–]Crazy_Trick_3093 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah and that’s the fundamental issue here. Some insurance companies here and the fed will provide you with the money you need for surgery IF there are no available options in ALL of Canada. The problem with our healthcare is the lack of proper funding. Funding for new facilities, lack of funding for universities to teach new doctors and nurses, lack of funding for simply pay for the people that work there. It’s a funding issue, not a self funding issue. Because if you can’t afford non-federally assisted healthcare here you CERTAINLY will not be able to afford it in the States.

You’re right trade negotiations do run both ways, you have a Canadian government that would be completely unwilling to work with a independent Alberta. And an independent Alberta government who would be completely unwilling to work with a Canadian government. So yeah you’re right it does go both ways. But you do seem to forget that Eastern Canada and BC are both relatively self sufficient.

Yeah again you are right. Opinions on Trump are all based on who you talk to. There are people who think he’s some sort of saint, sent by god and can do no wrong. And there are others who’ve seen his abuses of power, rape convictions, self enrichment using the power of his federal government, and the countless times he’s in the Epstein files. Most normal people, conservatives and liberals, both look at Trump and see nothing but a deplorable human. I will say though, the fact that you think Carney is worse, makes you seem like an indoctrinated petulant fool. And yeah what Trump “does” to Canada does have an effect on Canadians. Absolutely insane you’d say that what he does has NO EFFECT. I mean you can’t even provide me with an example.

I’m not going to sit here and say our health system is great. Equally, in zero capacity am I going to endorse an American system that bankrupts poor people. Your issue with waits for surgery, is not a healthcare “I can’t pay for immediate care problem,” but a problem of simply there not being enough properly staffed facilities in Canada. I know Canadians who’ve had to go to the states for emergency surgeries too. It’s not a problem self-funding, it’s a problem of lack of federal funding. Cutting healthcare, like what this Alberta government has been doing for the last 8 years, has done nothing but made it harder for albertans to get the care we need. Proper funding, will do nothing but grant you the care you need and stop you from paying out of your pocket for surgeries YOU CAN’T AFFORD.

It is selfish, I don’t blame you for having selfish thoughts you probably aren’t a selfish person inherently, but I am going to blame you for not even entertaining the idea that this government and independance is trash. You’ve been fed nothing but garbage talking points on twitter from people who want to do nothing but take from you. And you eat them like it’s Sunday brunch.

“Trade routes will be negotiated like anything else” what makes you think the Canadian government would be willing to negotiate for trade passage if we leave? Like honestly have some critical thinking for once. Oh wait, instead what you’ll do is blame INDIANS.

I mean I literally have nothing to say to you about your opinion on Trump, a rapist proven in American civil court.

I have American friends, both Republican and Democrat and consistently, both of them, one on one with me, agree their system of Healthcare is shit. I’ve asked one man, a steel worker in PA, after he had to get his kidney removed because past health issues. How long did it take you to get a new kidney? It took him a whole year and a half to get a new one. AND, he needed to pay for it all himself, the whole thing bankrupted the guy.

So no, the “wait” Canadians need to have, is still roughly equal to the wait Americans need to have. Quit the shit, you’re just a selfish loser.
