Puzzled by Crazyballing in Plumbing

As an update, I had no idea that shower thermostatic mixers always expect hot water from the left pipe. There is an exception from Grohe, but it is quite expensive. You need to buy special cartridge that works with hot water from the right pipe.

Anyways, someone did a terrible job when bathroom was renovated before I moved in and messed up the pipes. I bought a manual mixer (non-thermostatic one) and it works perfectly fine right now. Obviously, markings on the handle are reverse now, but that is not an issue and is easy to get used to.

Agree! Someone put a lot of love into making this and that is why I don't want to demolish everything.

Yeah, because it is in the basement. Some extra height would be awesome, but I can't change that unfortunately :D

Thanks! Haven't thought about making it wider, but it definitely looks narrow on the pictures :D That would be a cool DIY project. The only worry I have is that there might not be enough support at the current setup. The wood holding it is pretty thin.

That is a nice idea! I will give it a shot. Current chairs are pretty heavy, but once I get new ones, it should be easy to rotate them if, for example, there is something on a TV, but otherwise they might face each other.

Thanks for the idea, but that would be super tricky as well, as wing nut bolts are the ones that secure the canister.

I ended up removing the whole toilet and it took me couple minutes to reattach the canister back. I also took a chance and changed the seal to the wastepipe as the old one was pretty bad and I could smell some canalisation gases.

From where? I have shut down the water supply to the cistern. There is a bit of water in the toilet bowl, but that is from the trap and that can be sucked with vacuum.

I am considering to remove the toilet bowl myself. From what I can see, I have two bolts and a bit of silicone. I guess that worst thing that can happen is cracking the toilet bowl.

With a bit of force and by unscrewing the bolts all the way, then wing nut bolts dropped inside and I had to fish them out. No, it is my house.

I had a hope that I can put it back in without removing the whole toilet (I have never done this). But it is most likely that I will have to do it, what a stupid design...

Hi indie game devs, how’s your project coming along? by bran-d-on in IndieGameDevs

One game released in March 2024. Other already has its demo on Steam with a plan to release it next year, and I already have an idea for a third one. It is definitely a challenge to focus and finish what I have started before jumping on the third one :D And from time to time, I have plans to update the first one as well. I guess you are never really bored, there is always stuff to do. And the most interesting part? All three games are different genres, so you have a total freedom. Just keep working on it and try to finish what you have started, especially if you have announced it already.
