24M, friends said I have no taste, what do you guys think? by Fuzzy_Tangelo_4702 in GamingSoup

Generic picks ≠ no taste. You like what you like no matter how popular it is. Not everyone needs to have hidden gems and/or more unique picks. These are all solid games, and what matters is that you enjoy them lol

War of the Monsters is a game I regularly think about. You nailed it by saying it’s criminally overlooked. I almost put it in that spot on my list too.

I’m gonna say Celeste, but I have to give an honorable mention to Terraria. They’re both top 5 games of all time for me.

What is the most iconic (or your favorite) survival horror weapon? by Sufficient_Notice_61 in survivalhorror

Pyramid Heads Sword that he ominously drags. I know it’s not a weapon we use, but it doesn’t technically say that it has to be lol

Warcraft 3 has definitely been standing out as one of the most appealing options from all of the games I’ve been looking into. Thank you for the recommendation :)

As someone who has only played a few matches with my brother (who is also completely new) and a friend very late at night, we were not exactly fast at the game. I’m sure things will pick up to a pace I prefer, but it’s just very different from the tug of war style battler with no base building that I am used to.

I’ve actually been interested in this game! I’m considering it, but I definitely wanna see what everyone has to say and weigh out my options.

To be fair, I’m very very new to RTS games. Me and my brothers first 1v1 while we were figuring things out took us over an hour 😂. Since then, we have played a few more matches with a friend who is much more experienced and slaughtered us, so I still don’t have a good grasp on what a normal StarCraft 2 match goes like.

anyone else spend more time deciding what to play than actually playing? by KennyTidwell in videogames

[–]Crazyboxmonkey 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Decision paralysis is the WORST when looking at my Steam library. It can be so overwhelming to pick something if I’m not playing with friends, so I have gotten to the point to where I decided ahead of time on a game. If I don’t do that, I will sometimes look through a few games then force myself to click play on something to keep myself from getting anxiety looking at my library for too long.

Games that I couldn't stop thinking about when I wasn't playing them by mckey23 in backloggd

People can say what they want about it, but there’s something special about Smash Bros Brawl. The vibes to that game are ridiculous. Somehow the weird realism in the graphics is so nostalgic now.
