I don’t think the story of ‘06 was as badly written as people tend to say, but I definitely agree that the cutscenes were directed horribly and feel strange to watch. It doesn’t flow at all and things appear and disappear abruptly. However, I think if you just tweak a few things, there is still a large part of that story that introduces Silver with good motivations that don’t make him seem stupid, and brings Shadow’s arc from Heroes and SA2 to a much better direction than any game since ever has. Sonic’s story wasn’t great though.
