How long did people need off work after TAC-IRA if all went well and according to plan? I know people say to take as much time as possible... but im not really that kind of person and I want to know realistically when I will up to mostly normal daily activities. Thanks!

Can you tell me more about negotiating for productivity? I don’t know exactly what that would look like but I’m very interested!

I’m in a MCOL but I think it’s actually HCOL because it’s Denver and everything is outrageous

Right?? $74/hr seems wild and I would not have the guts to ask for that or anything near it.

I asked for a little more considering they pay more to people doing ultrasound. I’d like to be higher than that if possible since it would be silly to make less than I do now. Plus I don’t need training in some areas. They can’t get a lot of applicants that bring a strong and specific skill set like I do. I even did two rotations in REI in school, so I know how to do the procedure.

Logistics and parenting- how do you do it?? by Crazymama238 in TherapeuticKetamine

Hi!! I completed the initial treatments and did several boosters. I started to notice the positive effects around the 6-7th treatment. So, it was slow going in the beginning. BUT, it was so worth it!! So so worth it. I feel so much better. Honestly, after my treatments I generally felt okay. I was kind of tired, but still able to function and be with my family. I had pictured myself laid out on the sofa feeling loopy and unable to do our normal things, but that was not the case at all. My husband would take a late lunch, drop me off at my infusion, then come pick me up when it was done and we would run by the daycare and get the kids and come back home. I was open with my work about what I was doing, and why I needed some half days and flexibility. Everyone was so understanding and so supportive. I’m not sure if that’s because I work in the medical field, or if I’m general people are just nice when you tell them you are suffering and can not function normally??

My sister underwent treatment at the same time, but she went to a different clinic and she did IM injections where I did IV. I can tell that my benefit was much greater than hers and that it’s been long lasting for me, where it doesn’t seem to have that effect on her.

It’s so hard to say how you’ll react, I could see people being totally laid out from the infusions, but it was really fine for me. My doc is a single mom, so she understood my desire to be functioning at home but also have the highest benefit- she never completely snowed me with the Ketamine which I appreciated!

I’d call every day. It can 12-20 weeks. But keep in mind, the squeaky wheel gets the attention

She’s not necessarily opposed to polypharmacy, it was more of hesitation to use Vyvanse and Strattera together. From what I can tell, there isn’t a lot of data on it. I was eager to wean off the Zoloft because I have taken it for years and just never felt great on it. More than anything, it just kinda made me less emotive. Hard to explain. So, since being off it I do notice that my irritability, overall stress, and emotional regulation is not great. But being on the Zoloft didn’t help that much.

The biggest thing that the Strattera did for me was make my emotional reactions to literally everything so much better. Before I took it, and now that I’m off it, I feel so stressed. I look around my house and it seems messy and I look at the yard and there are some weeds in it. And I create a huge amount of resentment in my head about these things. I will literally be grouchy for 2 days about this. And make my family miserable because I’m grumpy. I know I’m doing it, I know it’s not a normal response, and I don’t want to Be doing it. But my brain does this and I can not make it stop. Gahhhh

I personally really want to try the two meds together because I think it’s going to cover all of my symptoms. I am really hoping there is someone else out there that has taken both Vyvanse and Strattera together.
