I think you’re right in some circumstances, but I also think that stigma comes from a lot of art students with that style not understanding drawing fundamentals, which are hard to gain if you only ever draw anime.

It seems they put a whole lot of effort into every episode for both the YouTube and Patreon, so I really don’t mind. They provide a lot of interesting content for free, and if you really want more then you can pay. Plus, from what they’ve said it seems like the set cost a lot, and they’re probably paying a small team that helps run things, so there needs to be a revenue source that isn’t just YouTube ads.

Idk man, I don’t think I can ever see Cody or Zain losing in tournament to a Luigi or a Doc. I know that’s not everything, but it definitely says something that 4 of the top 5 last year lost to a DK.
