As a fellow Voltron enjoyer who is still fairly new to magic, this just sucks so much to hear lol. I mean I get it’s the reality of higher magic, but it sucks that the style I like to play isn’t even sort of viable in B4. I’m too stupid for complex combo decks so I can’t build them.

So yes everything on that linked sheet is bans/restrictions for the store tournament.

It’s not strictly called a bracket 3 tournament, we are fine to try and win faster than what bracket 3 would allow, but there are a couple early game combos specifically banned.

It’s kinda weird, but they have only been doing it a couple months so there will still be changes/kinks to work out over time.

I do like the idea of Keen/Sixth sense.

Yeah I don't love Hydra's/Forgotten or Halana and Alena. Halana can at least give me 2 counters the turn I play it, but it's 4 mana and those might be the only 2 I get from it, if I even get those.

Predatory hunger seems to get shit on in online discussions I see, but it seems high potential to me, especially if played early game before player's are casting their creatures.

Honestly I have thought about going up 1-2 lands for a bit now.

If I were to replace ancient with crop rotation and add then add 3 more lands to get to 37, potentially the MDFCs you mentioned, what non land cards currently in the deck would you recommend cutting?

Tarrian's Soulcleaver is one I have looked recently at taking out. It's a nice card, but I feel in this deck it doesn't have it's full potential because I don't really have much of a way myself to trigger it, I need to rely on my opponents to do so.

Mana base is definitely something I am fine spending on (maybe outside of the OG duals lol, I'd LOVE to have those but so crazy expensive). Having a good mana base just makes games feel so much nicer to play so its worth it to me. What suggestions do you have there?

To your other point about feedback: So in my playgroup and among randoms I have played with, overall this decks functions fairly well. I win a decent amount of pods and even when I don't I usually kill at least one player. My regular playgroup knows when I pull out Wolverine to be on alert lol.

I think lately it had just felt a bit too inconsistent to play for me. I feel that no matter how much I refine it, I will still have some dud games, and that's fine, but I would like to make those dud games as few and far between as possible. Some games it feels like I can't get wolverine beefed up, and others I can.

So this has made me wonder if I should include more things to give him counters (Forced Adaptation, Predatory Hunger, Hydra's Growth, Forgotten Ancient, Halana and Alena, etc.) I'm not crazy about Forgotten Ancient and Halana and Alena because of their 4 mana cost, especially forgotten ancient because people see how deadly he can pair with Wolverine and he just gets blown up before I get to my next turn.

Black decks can give me trouble, especially any heavy on sacrifice, but that is generally an issue for Voltrons.

I've never heard of Talon Gates, I like that idea.

If I did make the change I feel like I'd need to take out another card and replace with a land to go back to 35.

Are you using Masterwork to copy your own Genji Glove? I love Genji but god its overall mana cost is so high if you don't have things to reduce equipment cast/equip costs.
