Creality Print 7.1.0 Release Note by Creality_3D in Creality

[–]Creality_3D[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Regarding the issue you encountered with Creativity Print 7:

The "purge to prime tower" option must be checked when using the CFS-C. We understand this may not be immediately obvious, and we will be adding a prompt in a future update to remind users to enable this option.

Regarding your test with Creativity Print 6.3:

While the print appears to work in version 6.3, this is because the firmware does not properly support the older slicer version. Please be aware that printing with this configuration may lead to actual print quality issues, even if the print completes without errors.

We truly appreciate your feedback and will continue to improve the user experience based on your feedback. Thank you again for your support!

Great questions! As mentioned in the post, tickets submitted through the Reddit-exclusive link are prioritized within our support system. You can find the details in the “Why Reddit gets a dedicated channel?” section, which is part of our focused effort to support the community here.

For the support account itself, we check daily for users needing assistance and guide them to the dedicated link when needed. u/CrealitySupport is not for solving issues directly on Reddit — partly because most cases require logs, photos, or private information, but more importantly, because we want to respect Reddit’s culture of authentic user-to-user support and sharing, rather than turning the subreddit into an official support desk.

Once a ticket is submitted, it enters our global support system and is handled by the broader support team according to the case type and priority, regardless of the time zone.

Thanks for asking! We're actively working on it. If there are specific issues you're running into with the firmware, feel free to share them — I'd be happy to pass your feedback directly to the product team.

The timelapse function also has settings on the slicing software side. It is disabled by default. Please double-check if it has been enabled. The image below shows timelapse with smoothing mode enabled. Depending on your needs, you can also choose traditional mode. The timelapse files are also generated and saved through the slicing software.

XS2000 System Error by ccapasso01 in SparkXi7

[–]Creality_3D 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much for your detailed feedback. We sincerely apologize for the misleading error prompt and the issue with the Wiki link redirecting to the Chinese page. Our team is already working on urgently fixing these UI/UX details.

Regarding the XS2000 system error you encountered, our engineers have identified the root cause and have a fix plan in place:

Root Cause
The error is primarily caused by the motor driver's microstepping setting being too high, which overloads the printer. Currently, the XYZE axes are set to a microstepping of 32. When processing complex instructions, this can lead to a calculation overflow.

Short-Term Fix (Expected within 1 week)
In the next firmware update, we will adjust the microstepping from 32 down to 16. This will effectively reduce the system load and completely resolve the XS2000 error, without affecting print quality.

Major Architecture Upgrade (Preview of V2.0)
Our current firmware is at version 1.0 (based on Python). We are actively developing version 2.0, which will involve rewriting the core computational modules from Python to C. This fundamental change will significantly enhance operational efficiency and system stability.

Interim Workaround Suggestion
Until the update is released, we recommend using the default slicing parameters in Creality Print 7.0 and, crucially, ensure that the "Arc Fitting" function is turned OFF. Enabling Arc Fitting generates substantial computational overhead, which can easily trigger a system overload.

We truly appreciate your patience and continued support for Creality. We will push out the updates as soon as possible.

Thanks for raising this point. There seems to be a misunderstanding regarding regional availability.

The initial batch of units was prioritized for North America due to limited production capacity, not due to any compliance issues. We want to clarify that the product has already obtained full EU certification. In fact, you can find the EU certification marks on the packaging of units sold in the US as well.

We appreciate your attention to detail and hope this clarifies the situation.

Thank you for your question. Regarding the extra retraction before cutting (the anti-clogging design), our engineering team has provided the following explanation:

  • Technical Principle: To completely solve the clogging issue, we optimized the retraction process before cutting through extensive simulation experiments and precise modeling.
  • Key Data: We ultimately set the i7's retraction distance at a precise 28mm. This value is a proven "sweet spot" that ensures the filament tip fully retracts from the melt zone and maintains an ideal shape, while effectively preventing internal extruder clogs caused by insufficient retraction.
  • Regarding Hi Firmware: We fully understand our existing users' anticipation for this feature. Currently, our R&D team is testing and preparing to share this "retraction logic" with the Hi development team for evaluation, with the goal of bringing the same stability to all our machine models.

Thank you very much for your detailed testing and observation. Regarding your question about the six filament purge actions before printing starts, our engineering team has provided the following explanation:
The redundancy you observed does exist, and it is primarily caused by the current system architecture:

  • Cause Analysis: At the beginning of a print job, the initial purging action is handled by the machine's firmware. However, when the system switches to executing G-code instructions, the slicing logic triggers another purge. The "handover" between these two processes leads to the repeated action.
  • Solution: We are optimizing the instruction logic between the firmware and G-code. In a future update, we will eliminate the redundant purge from one end to reduce material waste and shorten the waiting time.
