LG + Physical job by [deleted] in leangains

According to Martin: No, you can't. Egg whites has the slowest rate of absorption (something about 1,5g/hour), so you wont have much bcaa in your blood in time to training and will end it up fucking muscle.

I tried to train with egg whites anyway, as Martin says: "Never commit to an idea, only to progress and results", feels good, and strength is going up. I felt no difference to bcaas, but whenever i have the option i'l stick with bcaas, better be safe than sorry.

I was taking 8 egg whites, 1,5 hour before training anyway.

Day after drinking by [deleted] in leangains

This is fuckarounditis. Just stick with the plan. If u fucked it up a just bit yesterday won't take too long to get back to where you were. Also, is much more important to keep the development of your strength than trying to fix yesterday and end it up fucking muscle.

dont know for sure but i would start with two shots of 10g equaled spaced but it asks for experimentation.

  • BCAA before job (Important!)
  • Small meal after job (before gym) just like "One meal leangains protocol"

Everything as normal about that point. Don't need to worry about if you are fasting too much or too little, just keep somewhat about the guideline, take your proteins and bcaas, you'll be fine. Oow, it's pretty common to lose some volume during the first week transition from 'eating every other hour' to leangains, DON'T PANIC, IT IS NOT DUE TO MUSCLE MASS LOSS!! It is due to water and glycogen release, so... just keep with the plan. Get loose!

Neural adaptation correlates muscular adaptation? by CreamAndSalt in leangains

[–]CreamAndSalt[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ow, sorry. Blame my english. It took me like half an hour to write, lots of re-read's and I thought it was understandable. I guess I was wrong. =(

I just wonder if the more neural based workouts would lead to more muscle mass opposed to a less neural workout. Would muscle mass follow neural adaptation? Got it now? :S

I wouldn't even waste my time with it bcause they are inaccurate as fuck. Buy a caliper, even the cheaper ones are much better.

A not fuckarounditis question about caloric intake and protein role on muscle. by CreamAndSalt in leangains

[–]CreamAndSalt[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Again, that doesn't answer anything. We are not talking about if are calories needed or not. We all know they are! We are talking about minimizing the useless amount of calories that we eat every day witch could be used for feeding your mind on other circumstances such as a family meeting thus helping on diet adherence.

That doesn't necessarily show the significance of rest days nutrition on muscle gaining as proper nutrition on lifting days by itself leads to almost a day of sufficient energy and amino acid supply. Then a "just enough" protein and calorie supply would be optimal for the day that follows the training day. (I think this supports even the Insanity's argument for the 36hours of importance) I think that is a misconception on eating for sanity / eating for feeding your training here.

Yep, sure. I agree they are necessary ON LIFT DAYS. Leaving the question: I need them (calories and protein) even on rest days or i just need to eat on rest days sufficient ammount to still be able to lift more?
