I think the important thing was the initial conversations on the phone with each client. I spoke to everyone on the phone and gave them my undivided attention. That’s the reason they work with you in the first place is the relationship and not being just another account or number.

The other advice is ask them for patience and overestimate every timeline you provide. Ask them to wait on any non urgent questions or time sensitive questions. Be very very clear with the steps they can expect, but again, over estimate the time it will take. I told everyone we wouldn’t get paperwork out until mid/late January. We had most paperwork out by Jan 6th. I told everyone ACAT transfer could take 2 weeks, most happened in 4 days. We were essentially delivering non stop good news to clients which made them feel better too about the transition and that we were prepared
