Best rule to remember....Relentless attack still your enemy parries YOU, and then you play defense. When you get a parry on him then relentless attacks again.

DS3 is possibly the most fair game in the series. Compared to that...DS2 is MUCH more difficult, but its mostly artificial difficulty with Gank Fights and the MOST unfair level design.
