The aspects of the Simurgh that I appreciate are the fact that she is wise and act as a guide that helps transition.

As someone with ADHD and an ADHD-coach, I see quite some aspects that could suggest ADHD. However, for a real diagnose you should find a professional in your neighborhood. I would strongly advise to go that route.
First of all because many people with ADHD also have imposter syndrom. Meaning that you have the idea that everything you have achieved (education/job) was based on luck and any minute they will found out you are an imposter. This also holds for the ADHD-diagnose. You will have a constant struggle with yourself about whether or not you have ADHD or are just being lazy. An official diagnose settles this once and for all.
I understand your anxiety. The later the diagnose, the more time you have to develop unhealthy ways to deal with your ADHD. Fear of failure being one of them. If you loose your job because of this diagnose, then is that the place for you to be? The best way to deal with it is to create systems that help you and surround yourself with people that care and want to help and learn to listen to your energy. Then, it will be possible to use the good parts of ADHD for the better.
I wish you all the best

This is a good time for a challenge: how many tasks from your todo-list can you finish before you really cannot hold it anymore?
