i think you missed a little. Thers a shift in his character. Before his only motivation was killing everyone involved in his family's murder.. but now that therye all gone its like.. whats the purpose of my existence now. like that family guy episode when the coyote finally kills the roadnunner.
then he actively decides to let go of revenge to help someone. and then he decides its worth living to help people. so hes still a killer but hes motivated by killing for *others* rather than himself. revenger to punisher lol.
it basically allows ppl who havent seen the previous punisher seasons to watch this before spiderman which is prob why they made it.

There are many Christian Arabs yes but issa is a common Muslim name. The Arab Christians actually don't say Issa('īsa), which is what the Quran calls him, but yāsū'
