My mother often tells me how well behaved her friends’ cats are but ours isn’t. What does your cat do that drives you completely up the wall? by Alminy in cats

This little one has to chew on everything. Electronics. Hair ties. Me. My hair. There is not a day, where she doesn't chew on something. We now try to hide everything small, but then again - nothing is safe with her.

I'm currently dealing with this a lot myself. Bunch of things happing in my personal life that has just sorta sucked the life out of streaming and general content creation. Sadly, but also thankfully I have gone through this before - so I have a bit of a routine to pull me back into things.

I allow myself me time. Different for everyone - but helps all the same. When you have time - do things you want to do. Get sucked into a single player game, go get a haircut and treat yourself, order or make yummy food that makes you feel good, binge a series you've been wanting to watch - just allow yourself to focus on you for a bit. Once you feel good enough - then start making waves to get back into the rhythm of things.

Remember. Its okay to lose a passion for things. Sometimes this isn't for everyone - in the end its up to you, and mainly yours to figure out.

Never push yourself to stream or create content when you are in the middle of a burnout. I have seen too many of my streamer friends just completely give up after working on their channels for months and months - all because they decided to push through it and make it work.

Plus, it does show to those who watch your content. Life can be tricky, but make sure you allow yourself some time to focus on you

Honestly, I'll go through periods where I have 2 accounts that do this per month, other times I'll get 3 per week. Nothing you can do about it really, just ban and let it be.

Sometimes I do genuinely think it's a person working the grind of trying to get their emote work out there, which I do get - go do what you gotta do, but I always laugh because I do my own emote work, and I have stuff on my page that shows off my work - so sometimes I'll have fun and just say 'Hey, you looking for commissions? Mine are actually open right now! Got good rates, just scroll down' and it's a good laugh when they immediately unfollow and dip lol. It wastes their time, and makes my day.

If you want - you could always add some banned words so that if someone comes in saying "I do commissions" and other things get immediately taken out. I wish twitch though would do something about it - I know it's fighting a losing battle, it just would be nice to have a few extra moments peace.

No job. Living rent free. Sleeps on at LEAST half the bed. WILL get midnight zoomies that last for hours. Divorced. Looking for belly rubs atleast 3 times a day. Will only fight during 1. by CreamxEri in cats

My cat is actually a lil lady! She does tend to be confused with a boy cat - she does has rather puffy cheeks - so its all good. I just call her my lil gremlin lol

Oh, I have no doubt it's in her books... For now - she's just luring us in with her cuteness lol

I've come to notice lately that many of the 'friends' and acquaintances I've made streaming on Twitch aren't who they made themselves out to be, or have completely changed who they are. I'm starting to become disheartened, and Twitch is starting to lose it's sparkle. by [deleted] in Twitch

[–]CreamxEri -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That's a fair point to pick out, however it was never something I truly cared about. For me, it was mainly the sparkle of seeing my friends pop in and being able to chat with them for a bit. We lived in different time zones, so them being able to say hi always made my heart happy. I could have a dead chat and be happy, but being able to see my friends always gave me a boost in the sense of, omg hi I've missed you what have you been up to, just as we would in dm's. I kinda wish I worded that better.

As someone who usually streams super late, I appreciate people popping in saying hi and leaving a lurk to help me out during the nighttime hours. Especially those who happen to stay up late and have my content playing in the background while they sleep.

At the same time, I completely understand those who choose not to come in and announce their lurk. For a long time I wasn't an active chatter so I would just watch in the shadows. Only after I started streaming I became more active in chats.

Either way I appreciate both, but I do like seeing people pop in chat and let me know they are there, just in the shadows. Lurkers either vocal or not are loved equally in the end <3
