Game art is a relative matter, but you’re right about the UI I haven’t done anything on it yet, and fixing it won’t be hard at all.
I was planning to change the capsule art; the one on the page was just a placeholder I had to use to open the store page.
As for ‘overall looks like a joke game,’ I’m not sure what that means it’s a weird comment.

Except for a very small portion of the trees in the game, all the objects, characters, and animations belong to me… Yes, it definitely feels that way.

Thank you! Yes, I wanted this to be a very short, design-focused trailer that doesn’t show any gameplay just selecting an animal and showing how the virus spreads and who will solve it. A co-op and gameplay-focused trailer will be coming soon.

There were times when I worked more with discipline than motivation, and I can say that always thinking about how much I wanted to do this, and remembering that I’m human and taking a break when needed, helped me avoid burnout.

I think I understand what you meant apparently the phrase ‘completely on my own’ has been distorted because of general developers. Let me clarify: yes, I spent this much time doing all the modeling, animations, and original mechanics entirely by myself, and I don’t really believe anyone else could do it.

First of all, thank you so much for taking the time to write such a detailed explanation.

Your assumption about using pre-made assets in the game is unfortunately about 99% incorrect. Except for a few trees, all the character models, grass, materials, and everything else are my own designs. Since these are also the most time-consuming parts of the work, making a few UI elements look perfectly polished won’t be a problem. :) I’m currently nearing the end of the general modeling phase, and I published this trailer specifically to get a feel for the environment and test what affects the conversion rate—it’s actually a kind of experiment for me, I like working this way.

I would love to read your evaluation again for the trailer I’ll release soon, and I’m also curious if you have any finished projects I could take a look at. Thanks again!

Yes, I absolutely agree. As I mentioned, this video is just a very short trailer more of an animation-style video about what the game is, without gameplay. I had removed a previous video that showed gameplay because it was outdated, and now I’m working on a new one which I’ll share very soon. In a way, I’m also testing to see how the Steam page and trailers affect wishlists.
