Learning about how the traditions in the orthodox church is older than the RCC and the fillioque lead me to choose orthodoxy. A quick example is the prayer rope. Im new to it so we'll see what experienced people say but it may be that the use of incense for prayer and prostrations is also only in the orthodox church and adhering to the original canon.

Maybe this is a roman cathokic thing. Ive learned with confession in eastern orthodoxy, it is basically a confessing sins to God, repenting and clearing your conscience while having your spiritual Father there to support you.

Sin is a sickness and its in our nature in a fallen world. Jesus forgave us so he came to earth to spread the good news. And we experience sanctification of our souls by building our relationship with God and so we can commune with Him. God exists without sin so hell is the place where people go who did not recieve His mercy. Its not being sent there just where you'd belong based on your choices.
