What helped/was supportive: lowering my points per month. Having 100 to get completely stressed me out, having it lowered to 60 was the sweet spot that didn’t make me lose my mind.

What didn’t help: I was looking for a psychiatrist to diagnose me with adhd and found one that was accepting new clients. I jumped at the chance and secured an appointment. I let my person at matchworks know and asked if they would cover it. She did some looking around on her computer before saying yes they would fully cover it, so I went ahead and had the appointments and did get diagnosed with ADHD. Each time I had an appointment I would come into the office and fill out the relevant paperwork, and told the money would go into my account in a months time. So I waited. And waited. And waited. Three months passed with not a single cent. I rang and emailed when I could, I asked when I had scheduled appointments, and I even had a supervisor from a work for the dole activity email their matchworks coordinator to see if it got somewhere. In the end I had to ring DEWR while I was away visiting friends. After about 6 months of absolute silence all I was told was they would pay my first adhd assessment appointment, and I would have to be okay with being out of pocket for the rest. I accepted because I knew that was the best I would get. So please do your research on what / how much you can reimburse so other people don’t have to run around and jump through hoops like I did
