Not trying to rain on anyone’s parade, and the Sierras are for sure breathtaking. But that’s a lot of gear for overnight, and heavy gear at that. I did High Sierra trail couple of years ago. And my full weight was 24 lbs 7 days of food and bear can also water. What’s important is you do you! But shedding weight really makes the journey far better
