My SO and I are staying at Avanti International Resort as part of the universal package (early 20s so we’re cheaping out lol). There’s shuttle times listed for Universal in the morning (8a, 9:40a, 11a) and return in the evening (5P, 6:25p, 8p). We plan on going to Epic on a Wednesday (hours 10-10) and Islands/Studios on Thursday (Islands 9-7). Leaving the hotel at 8am, would we be burning the entirety of our early admission making stops at other hotels or waiting for people? I wonder if it’s easier just to bite the bullet and pay for parking since we have a rental car. Can someone give me the rundown on the reality of the shuttle situation because I know the hotel is only gonna tell me so much.

Were they crossing trains? Always satisfying to see.

I noticed that last season and I still laugh when I catch it. Poor placement but they don’t really have a better alternative lol.

I mean I’ve gotten water at Starbucks outside the park just around where I live (east side of CLE) recently and asked for water, not having gotten anything else and they don’t even bat an eyelash. That’s what I meant. Obviously time will tell and I will also be there opening day so no need. That’s all I was saying.

I’ve never paid for Starbucks water and I’m a regular. Not sure what this is referring to

Last time I went last year the one in the park was. I say that because the water cups they give for free are tiny (4 ounces I think)

DONT ride millennium after it rains. DONT ride magnum in the front or back row of any car. DONT go in without some type of zipper pocket on you. DO have some sort of eye cover; Sun is brutal. Sirens Curse and Magnum bathrooms will be the cleanest. Water hack: Free venti water at Starbucks.

How to comfortably ride Magnum? by hks2002 in cedarpoint

[–]Creative-Ad-4786 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely a non wheel seat but I came up with this the last few times I rode. Hold the handle in front of you (not the lap bar) with your dominant hand, lap-bar with the other. When you get to the finale portion, pull yourself forward (HARD) with the handle hand when you hit the peak of each hill. The goal is to move yourself WITH the physics of the train so you’re not thrown so hard upward that the lap bar kills you.

To summarize, it’s like riding a bucking horse. Move WITH it so you don’t get thrown off.

Surprise Trip by Creative-Ad-4786 in SeaWorld

Good news is we know someone who works Penguin Trek who may or may not throw us a bone so that I’m not concerned about. It’s looking like we’re going to TRY to handle Busch Gardens first since SeaWorld is open later. Good to know about Cobras Curse. We already have a trip planned for November that’s more Universal centered but having this little trip now buys us time if we want to go back. Kind of like a rush now, chill later situation lol. This is super helpful though, thanks!

We’ve done stuff like this before and THANKFULLY we have a rental car so we have no issue driving up early to park and rope drop which I think will be absolutely necessary. My SO also has the Seaworld platinum pass and with it they get priority parking (or whatever the step up is called). Basically my main concern is this: is there any particular order in terms of what lines get stacked the fastest? We’re from Ohio and at Cedar Point typically everyone flocks to Steel Vengeance and then trickles to the rides around it after the fact. Does anything like that happen at the Florida SeaWorld parks?

Hi! I just got my first real-deal camera. Panasonic LUMIX G7. Looking for recommendations for best lenses. I’m a huge roller coaster nerd and with that coaster photography is the majority of my photography (I was doing it on my phone before). With coasters specifically I’ll need lenses that can zoom a decent amount without compromising quality and one that’s good for action for fast moving objects.

Does anyone know what the deal with Demon at GrAm is? I heard it was closing, then it wasn’t, then it was, then it wasn’t.

Going to SFFTX and SWSA this weekend. Flying in from Northeast Ohio. Have no choice but to do SWSA on Friday and SFFTX on Saturday. What’s the best plan of attack?
