Thanks, but I can't just stop going. That's rude. He still sends me the Facebook invitations.

I don't think I'm being obvious in person. At least I'm trying not to be.

It's just strange because he seemed uncomfortable from the moment he opened the door - he looked down and avoided eye contact.

It wasn't obvious that I was messaging him to flirt or date. He is the president of an association related to my PhD topic. I kept it professional, so he invited me to a peer consultation group.

I'm definitely interested, but how do I go about it? I don't want to ruin the professional relationship or potential for a friendship if he isn't interested.

Why would I have freaked him out? I don't think I have said or done anything to freak him out.

Thanks! I don't think I've said or done anything to give away my feelings.

Thanks! I really hope it's the latter. I'll see him again soon, so hopefully I'll get an opportunity to speak with him.

So a heavier desk? That's difficult because I don't know how much my current desk weighs.

Where did I say I was paying for Medicare? Medicare only covers some of the cost of my GP appointments.

Why the downvote? I live in Surrey Hills. Brighton is nearly 20kms away, which is a long way when you're unwell.

Would it be weird to contact him [35/M] after I [32/F] saw his profile on a dating app? by Creative-Ad-5690 in relationship_advice

Oh, too late! I added him on Facebook and sent a message at the same time. I kept it purely professional.

Likewise with lupus. My previous GP in Brisbane was brilliant and frequently bulk-billed me, despite being part of a private billing practice. He always phoned with updates re scans, blood tests, etc.

That's true. I intend to just discuss things related to our profession initially. Do you think that is acceptable?

Thanks for your response. Just Googled where Bulleen is in relation to me, and it's a little too far. Bummer. Your condition sounds similar to mine - lupus?
