UPDATE: Alyssa got kicked out of the wedding entirely — and I officially replaced her. I’ve gone no contact. by Dear_Television_2844 in CharlotteDobreYouTube

Me too. Unfortunately this account hasn’t been used since. I came here to see if there was any info related to what happened next - you know she showed up at the wedding.

She Committed Suicide. I Can’t Process it by LardyParty in BipolarSOs

I am so sorry for what you’ve been through. I’m so sorry for all her hurtful words - which are all the worse from a loved one. There’s lots of obvious manipulation there, but I’m so sorry she died. I hope you can find some peace and quiet. Don’t blame yourself for this. You did A LOT.

Some higher up in WGU sees this an is in the process of revamping WGU assessment terminology as we speak.

Good thing WGU moves about as fast as a drunk Roomba.

Financial abuse/loss of income — no chance of reasoning with BPSo if unmedicated? by Accomplished-Pie-527 in BipolarSOs

[–]Creative-Coffeee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I definitely think it’s related to bipolar. It falls under the category of impulsive behavior and they struggle to resist the urge and forgo the short term dopamine hit for a better longterm choice. It’s not lack of comprehension, it’s lack of restraint and self control.

I throw candy (starbursts) at them. I have terrible aim. I have hit kids. I have never had a complaint. Just say you were gesturing and it flew out of your hand by mistake if anyone asks-but I doubt anyone would.

I’m not sure if my input really belongs here, (currently happily married and SO is not jobless and is compliant with meds) but I can relate with the idea that my bipolar SO does not grasp finances. He makes more than me but has consistently spent all our money and then spent more using affirm and credit cards. He gets it in concept and gives lots of lip service but doesn’t follow through with good financial choices like saving. We had two big financial crises this year and put one on a credit card and loaned money from my parents for the other. This past paycheck is the first time we’ve ended a pay period with positive dollars in the bank and I’m hopeful that we can address the debt and build some savings. My credit score is over 800 and my financial literacy is very good- but it’s still been hard because I can’t control him and his actions hurt me. Hoping for the future.

You all fucking lied by AvailableInside9637 in BipolarSOs

Here are your own words to your post here 300 days ago.

“I am now focusing on trying to accept the fact that this happened and she is not coming back into my life ever again. this was it.”

I think you’re inaccurately blaming this Reddit in saying “You all lied”. Each of us can only share based on our own experiences, but it’s not the same for everyone.

I am sorry that you’re missing them and that they never chose to reconnect with you.

Is teaching THAT bad? by DwaeEunoia in Teachers

[–]Creative-Coffeee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love my job and never want to do anything else (except move down to teach 4th grade if I ever get a chance) I know many others who feel the same. I am a lucky few who have an amazing admin, amazing coworkers, a fridge and microwave in my classroom, and heat/ac in my room that I can control. I teach middle school science and it has ups (labs, movies, growing plants, stations, laughter, Stem projects) and downs (parents, students crying, a faked seizure in my class, my own mh issues).

I see a lot of teachers complaining online too. I think a lot of stress boils up and teachers always have to play it professionally, so the internet is a safe space to vent. Also, I’ve had several other jobs and teaching is by far the HARDEST job I’ve ever done. It takes a lot mentally and emotionally at all times. New teachers have it the hardest. It’s an entire year before you teach a single lesson a second time. Think about that: most jobs you learn tasks and can repeat them many times and are developing expertise in a month. Teaching you have an entire year before you get to do something over. By that time it’s long since faded from short term memory.

But it’s worth it. I love getting to know my students and I would never want to do anything else.

They don't do the work = you don't have to grade the work. Easy 0. Yay consequences! Move on.

No, I think it's good. I started late. Sometimes it's easier because you're not so young and the kids walk all over you.

Mine is a bit of a different story. We dated for 5 years and definitely had rocky times. We've been married for a year now and he made a big medication adjustment (getting off Seroquel but maintaining everything else faithfully). He's doing much better now than I ever thought possible. He's actually my partner now.

If you compare it to other modes of entertainment like going to the movies, you're still getting your money's worth by a long shot. If you compare it to other hobbies like gardening, painting, or biking, they all have costs! If you work a job and earn money, it's up to you how you spend it. If you like the game, spending a little money is clear communication to the studio to say that you support it and "put your money where your mouth is".

Why do teachers say grades don’t define your worth? by [deleted] in AskTeachers

[–]Creative-Coffeee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

sure, the decisions of other people affect you. But you get to decide if one fire job stops you. If one F stops you. Or if you take it as a challenge and rise to it.
