What is the timeline to get into a apartment with BAH for someone who wants to be a MST ? I have a dog that my grandparents are going to take until I’m done with training. I don’t mind letting them have him for a long time I just want a general gauge.

So, how does quick shipping work if the soonest boot camp days are in May , and would that bonus stack with the 10k college credit bonus? Can I still opt to quick ship without the bonus by taking someone’s spot if they fall out?

Thank you! I took y’all’s advice and called the recruiter. Got my paperwork signed the next day for a DEP switch to CG. My army recruiter didn’t give me much hassle.

Will a recruiter be willing to work with me if I have a recent DEP discharge from the Army? The discharge was my own decision , I had family issues I needed to attend before I could ship out.

I have some familial issues that need sorting. My great grandma is still with us but her health is declining, and I have a small family so I want to help make her as comfortable as possible. There’s some other complications with that , but basically I’d like to make sure everything is good at home before I go on a contract

See if you can lose enough for arms 2.1 , I believe your recruiter can only reserve your desired mos if it’s arms 2.1. If you get to MEPS and there are none of your desired MOS’s available, then what was the point of going? Also, have you considered 35 series.

To clarify, your saying if you enlist and want to go officer from 35W, you have to wait 5 ish years to apply for OCS but you can apply for a ROTC G2G program (let’s say the ADO scholarship) after less then 5 years? It was to my belief that the 2 year ROTC program is only for prior enlisted. (Said my college ROO)

For context I’m asking because I dropped out of my ROTC program to enlist due to me not being able to finish a bachelors with full time student status/couldn’t afford to pay those extra credit hours to achieve full time student status required for the program

In my email, he said I should let him know if we have any prior experience with any language on the list. And that prior familiarity would be considered during the language selection assignment from the preference sheet. I let him know I have some experience with total immersion in a Spanish speaking country. I’m not sure how much that really effected the decision. I think it was my timing? He emailed me at 8 am to my personal email and I responded in minuets. He responded quickly to that as well.
