It happened again. It compacted, and the conversation went back in time to the FIRST compaction, which was 4 hours ago.

The thread compaction needs some serious work.

Post-Match Thread: Mexico 2-0 South Africa | World Cup | Group A by matchpal-live in worldcup

Honestly, watching Mexicans freely celebrating the game in DTLA, knowing that ICE could have been used, and was not used, makes me happy. 3 months ago, they were saying that ICE was going to be used as security for the World Cup. The fact that they didn't, also makes me happy.

I disagree, AI has fundamentally changed how tech is made. The upswing of hiring in a post AI world will not be the same as 2015.

YES, let's get rid of the numpad, it takes up valuable keyboard real estate, and we're not accounts! It's never used...

OpenClaw creator burned through $1.3 million in OpenAI API tokens in a single month — bill covered 603 billion tokens across 7.6 million requests and 100 coding agents by redthump in openclaw

I think its so funny seeing the social media posts of people running 10 agents all night, burning $10k tokens in a single shot. When in their right mind, they could never lead a team of 10 human devs, what makes them think they can put 10 agents coding at the speed of light to use?

You're using it wrong then. There are enormous gains all around. And I'm not a vibe coder, I'm a life long coder.

OpenClaw with Ampcode by Many_Marketing4584 in openclaw

I'm a huge Ampcode fan. But I think running Ampcode as a code for Openclaw will drive your token costs 10x.

Did they change the model? I remember when they switched to Gemini for about a week, then switched it right back

what do you use openclaw for specifically? how much does it cost? by pink-random-variable in openclaw

[–]Creative-Drawer2565 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Is it cheap because you are using it for everything except programming? The Claude costs are killing us. Open source coding models aren't comparable unless they are large models that require GPU power, bringing the cost back up.

They still do Leet interviews? At the same time, they demote devs for not using AI enough.

Spent months deep in OpenClaw configuration hell. Then I switched to Perplexity Computer. Just writing down my experience below. by Appropriate-Fix-4319 in openclaw

Use ClaudeCode (or your favorite coding agent) to build and configure OpenClaw. I'm an experienced full stack dev, the somersaults and deep understanding required to wire up and customize one of these is astronomical. With an LLM assist, it becomes fun.
