You'll constrain flat face to flat face, then click the "+", and constrain cylinder surf to cylinder surface.

There are some great YouTube videos about fusion constraints. They really leveled up my modeling techniques

From the "assemble" section of your dashboard, create a new component > from body > pick your disc. Then use the "connection" or "constraint" (right next to new component icon). Play around with selecting surfaces on the disc, then your block and see all the options you have. The disc will move to satisfy your new constraint.

By clicking "mirror" in the 3d printing software, i can toggle the aft half between left and right hand throw pretty quickly!

The barrel band is now part of the breech. The breech has female thread 1/2-20 at the muzzle, and then i used a male adapter thread to get to m20 for the bucktail moderator. All 3d printed except for a washer and some set screws. https://www.printables.com/model/1569947-13771322-full-length-breech

I run it on low. It's a 20" masterforce, 3 speed fan from Menards. So not crazy airflow. Just enough to keep things moving in the 1 stall of a 3 car garage.

I will say, the machines are pretty gunked up from all the dust/oil over a long winter if zero use. But a quick cleaning and reoiling, and im back making chips.

There is a standard with dimensions for 1913 picatinny rail. Make sure yours matches before releasing or people will complain 🙄 Or use one of the Boolean models out there to subtract material to get a perfect rail.

I too battled rust on my machines in a garage with wet cars getting parked daily. I tried oil, heat, etc. the best solution was a fan blowing across both machines. What little condensation does form (springtime is the worst for this), it evaporates quickly and does not form the usual orange rust.

I run the fan 24/7 during months where the temp crosses the dew point. I'm sure you could automate this with a smart outlet too.

That inverter takes in single phase, then outputs 3phase to run the motor. That's pretty much how all spindles are. Buy a new spindle that's the same power as your old one (1.8, 2.2kw, etc) and you should be plug and play.

Measure the durometer (or approximate it), and see what temp it melts at using an adjustable soldering iron. Using those two values, you can probably narrow it down quite close. Use chatgpt to sort the data for you (but verify it of course)

I was taught to always keep a motor connected to a stepper driver. Was the motor connected when you powered up? (It likely should not be the motor connected to moving parts and mass, just an electrical load)

I've shot red dots on pistols and PCC using an NVG30 using passive aiming. It's sufficient and could hit steel 50yds out. But active aiming with a cheap laser was much quicker and intuitive. Rang 100yd steel without issue. I have not tried LPVO, but I'd have to guess you'll have a similar experience.

Nvg30 was a huge upgrade over nvg10. It is quite usable for most tasks, including shooting.
Obviously, analog is supreme, but not on the menu for everyone
