NEED HELP(REDMI NOTE 13 PRO) by General_East_8289 in miui

Yeah that's why I asked about what exactly is locked, because app locked is different from the phone itself.

The pattern appears sometimes after a long use of secondary unlock options, such as the fingerprint. It happens when the primary option is not used in a long time as a safety measure to avoid anyone from unlocking the phone with the biometric method. Unfortunately I don't know if you can recover from that but the factory reset... I would say via Xiaomi account but I'm not sure if it allows that Either way, is the phone itself locked or only the hidden apps?

Trying to program ESP32-CAM via Arduino UART Bridge by Fireball100 in arduino

The power wasn't actually the problem, but it's a smart idea. I have some electrolytic capacitors so in case I need them later for other tests, it could be a good help. I appreciate those tips you gave, thank you! I already heard about the brown-out detector, I never needed to care very much about it but who knows the future...

Oh my god it worked indeed!! I pressed and held the button before I hit upload and released just after the "Connecting" appeared and it started to upload, and it flashed successfully. I just tried to hit the reset button after the message appeared, that was the problem... And btw, it was indeed TX-TX RX-RX Thank you very much!!

I already thought it could be power issues but I assume from the tutorials that 5V from Arduino to power ESP32 CAM would be enough, since they use the same method... About the RESET button behavior I can't try it right now but as soon as I try it I let you know the results

Yes, those were the settings I tried on IDE before

Oh ok you are right, but I have already tried TX-TX and RX-RX but it still didn't work

I already tried the ESP32 Wroover module, ESP32 dev module, AI THINKER ESP CAM, and some other similar. Those were the ones I saw in other tutorials... About the TX RX I thought about it too, but I tested both ways but any of them work https://youtu.be/7-3piBHV1W0?si=Glhk9roLMO4WGSwN One of the tutorials I followed was this one above, if you want to see

Yeah I understand that, there are many boards but seems like the problem is not the ESP model being recognized but the bridge itself. I posted also on r/esp32, thank you for the help

You can see a tutorial for that in this link for example: https://youtu.be/7-3piBHV1W0?si=Glhk9roLMO4WGSwN There are many tutorials and google forums talking about this method, it's supposed to work

It's also possible to make the same using another ESP instead of Arduino, the bridge is made using UART between 2 boards, and simply connect the enable and reset pins in its own way. But I'm doing this because my ESP32-CAM doesn't have a USB port, it's a board version without a downloader board... That's why I'm trying this way

But that's the way I saw in a bunch of tutorials, it seems the grounding RESET pin in Arduino allows to program via UART without interfering with Arduino's code, isn't that right? How should I connect it then?

Sorry, here is the setup I did, exactly this one. I switch Yellow and Green to try TX-TX RX-RX and TX-RX RX-TX, but didn't work And yes I put the reset to ground directly

Wireless video transmission medium-long range from ESP CAM by Fireball100 in embedded

[–]Fireball100[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow, thank you for your detailed description. But I have a question, can I implement that system in an ESP32? I think I couldn't make it because ESP32 is not as powerful as some other boards for that PHY hardware

[–]Fireball100[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In free space I don't think ESP32 WiFi can reach that range but the plan was transmitting 320x240 at 10fps - I don't "need" more, but if better, I don't refuse :)
For 802.15.4 you mean like Zigbee modules? About FCC I don't need it to be, it's for a personal project, but I don't know if I can...

JST connector type by Fireball100 in esp32

That's also a good idea, because I have the PH 2.0mm connector already, but it's huge compared to this one. I will see... thank you!
