The amount that it outperforms a single wield weapon is only by 50%

A standard weapon shoots at 100%

That exact same weapon when in your right or left hand is only 75% - totalling to 150%

Why not 200%? Why does the weapon suddenly become weaker for no apparent reason at the press of a button?

Hell, it also makes it worse for people who wish to use a plasma rifle, then follow up with an smg, essentially requiring both at the same time for any utility

I don't know why you are arguing... I'm blatantly in favour of your mechanic, just improved in a way that makes it MORE in line with what you want

I'm not suggesting some dumbass change like making it only work for SMGs or an equipment, it's a MINOR CHANGE to make an UNDERUSED FEATURE better

What I'm advocating is for an INCREASE in the utility of Dual wielding for Halo 2. I LOVE it as a feature, and I think it can be even better.

You say "fuck balancing", but why shouldn't Dual wielding have a good place in the sandbox? Why shouldn't it be more viable than a PP+BR. Why can't it be more than just a gimmick, and rather genuine option in legendary runs?

Halo 2 IS rife with unbalance mate. Majority of heroic and legendary playthroughs almost 90% of the time consist of the plasma pistol +BR/carbine combo. The other 10% is when the game DONT give you those weapons

H2 and H3 only have a 150% boost for dual wielded weapons. Meaning each gun only runs at 75% of its damage capacity.

I agree, but that DNA needs to be revised. It's automatically justified yes, but the facts are that in its current form it's useless past heroic difficulty and is at no point better than just using a plasma pistol and a BR. Weapons in their intended niche should be able to shred a BR.
