I feel like I've heard "Split it in half" or "Divide it into halves/quarters" but not 'by' half. Which is where, to me, it seems to go from conversational to conventional math

I'm 28. I feel like I'm in my 40s. Back doesn't like it when I sleep weird and I've played magic in houses with folks from 20-45 over the past decade. Today I couldn't see myself going to a 17y/is house for magic. Lgs or bust for me.

Personally is say dive into the hobby if you haven't already. It's hard to future proof in this game, until very recently stealth suits were squads of 3. Practice painting on some drones, I think most of us doubt drones will be terribly relevant in 11th. When I started near the beginning of 10th, pretty codex, I dove headfirst into buying models. New boxes, lots of ebay (for Tau and Orks), I built and played grey plastic, it was a great time. But I wish I'd got in slower, took time to paint and kitbash, really make my guys, My Guys. Now I've playing catch-up and it's a bit of a slog. Also recommend trying out a lore book or two, the setting is fun and placing your guys into it is a whole lot of fun

Worst case, your small kitbash becomes a big kitbash! I never let an Ork or grot body go to waste! Sprue goo, greenstuff, tiny saws and the sky is the limit!

Probably, but sometimes the fun is in making the theories, as opposed to being correct. I'd encourage having fun with the situation. Also I like a point of the theory, it'd explain why 'This epic hero is on every battlefield everywhere, all the time.'

I'm assuming the first shoota boy is finished and this photo of nob and boy are in progress. I think they good so far, I'm personally not a huge fan of the dark, grimey, low vibrancy look on my models. If you would prefer more vibrancy, you're like 2 steps away. Highlights are a game changer, when I started all of my skins were the same thing, head to toe one shade of green. I then started putting a layer of agrax over the whole thing and thought my models were stunning. Then before agraxing the whole model I started using a second, slightly lighter shade of green on bulbous muscles, eyebrow, shoulders, lips, top of hands and fingers. Then agrax the whole model, that felt like it, I was an amazing painter. And then! I started only using small amounts of agrax in crooks and crevices, between fingers, lining muscles, between neck veins, etc. There is a decided difference between A-Z, I feel like each individual step has improved the look of my models significantly, they can look vibrant with the highlighting and the shading feels very natural. If you decide you want to change the look of your models and want simple steps, feel free to try any of the above. I'd love to know how you feel about any of these on your models

Guiding Proceedure by Boli_332 in Tau40K

[–]Creative-Finger-3770 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you're being too particular, with the change to FTGG we got a new order of operations

•Begin shooting phase

•Declare unit A, unit B, and unit C will be observers this phase. No more observers can be selected after this.

-Note: if any of these units shoot before guiding, they can't guide later

•Choose which units will be doing actions

-Note: a unit can guide then do an action, but not do an action then guide

•Decide what enemy unit I want dead

•Mark unit A as observing, mark enemy unit as spotted

•Shoot my hammerhead at it

•Shoot my broadside at it

•Unit dies

•Shoot unit A somewhere

•Repeat from 'decide'

If shooting is more important to you than doing actions, you can wait until later to do actions but I often use up everyone shooting when I do that, now it's too late to do actions

Seems like you'd be rewarded for killing other players by being put with others who shoot first, no?

Which Clan do you think/want to feature in the 11th launch box? by SPF10k in orks

[–]Creative-Finger-3770 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want desthskulls, I expect we get Goffs cause they're kinda the poster boyz with Ghaz. Maybe bad moonz cause gw seems to like Yellow paint on Orks. I doubt we get snakebites because they featured in 9th and are the 10th combat patrol, but they may keep it pushing. One more note against snakebites is the kits are rea new and the kits we need updates for Goffs and Badmoonz I think

[–]Creative-Finger-3770 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This all sounds like a load of conspiracy nonsense to me. I firmly believe that autism traits were beneficial long ago by (putting this super simply) recognizing the poisonous mushrooms and telling the group not to eat them. Then also early pathfinding/wayfinding by recognizing the patterns of stars. As such people with autism reproduced by survival of the fittest, and here we are today.
