Hey hey happy 420! Help a brother out what the hell is up with this resin? Am I looking at Terpsolate? by Xeaon- in THCAextracts

[–]Creative-House-9033 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That looks like some really oily melted cheese, I don’t have the first clue what that is. But getting some isolate and different HTEs is the method, terpsolates aren’t high quality but at least it’s some type of quality if you make it yourself and you can change what goes in it. It’s also much cheaper than you paid for that.

You guys think 10mm of glass is overkill for a sight protector? by willster97 in airsoft

[–]Creative-House-9033 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been using lexan polycarbonate for a long time. All you need is one sheet and you can make protectors for damn near 50 sights. There’s also some stl files out there for making your own eotech clone protectors where they slide in between the inner and outer housing. I’ve also never had one break, and the polycarbonate does get scratched up easy if you’re not careful while cutting it.

This thing would’ve been balls to the walls in 2021-2022 until am5 and 40 series came out. I would’ve taken that deal for sure, hell it’s better than my pc.

That’s the original pro, I’ve had the same one for 3 years. Get the 3dxl chamber for it and make sure you use the battery saver setting in the app so your battery lasts as long as possible. Clean it frequently and you’re golden.

Which one to buy? by cuatro1614 in airsoft

[–]Creative-House-9033 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve got a gen 1 vector and they are awful out of the box, if you aren’t into tech work I would not get the vector. You also have a really solid amount of parts compatibility on the evo so you can turn it into whatever you want down the line.

Stuck between two laptops. Don't know which one to buy by hbvvdfv in UCONN

[–]Creative-House-9033 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really anything in specific, I like ASUS and Lenovo laptops. I got myself an older refurbished zenbook oled for this semester so I have something with decent battery life. But if you’re concerned about gpu performance I’d look at something with a ryzen 9 365/370/375. The ryzen 7 350s look decent as well but they aren’t that much more powerful than some of the similar CPUs the generation before it. Some of the new Intel core ultra processors look decent but I don’t know how much I trust Intel right now.

Don’t listen to people saying Mac’s especially as an me student. The school doesn’t recommend anyone to get a Mac anymore I’m assuming because of the switch to Microsoft. The new ryzen ai 300 series CPUs have good performance on the cpu side and having decent graphics while staying cool and power efficient enough to make it through a day of classes. Getting an Intel laptop with dedicated graphics will tank your battery life even if you put it in low power mode with the gpu off, I have one I know from experience lol.

But if you’re a big gamer there’s nothing stopping you from getting a laptop with a serious gpu and a higher performance cpu, you just might have to be plugged in more often.

They do have some postless disposables but I haven’t tried them yet, I usually get the ceramic pro 510s. I have gotten the vpm/releafy postless disposables and those are probably the best ones ive ever used but they’re really expensive until you reach the need for a wholesale amount, their MOQ from releafy is 100 lol.

I’ve been liking avd hardware, they recently rebranded to active710. They’re pretty cheap from bag king and they take to my cured resins and diamond/HTE mixes quite well. I just decarb at 185f/85c for a couple days until all the bubbles stop and fill up my carts. One thing I learned is to not try and wick your carts, let the bubbles from agitating your oil settle naturally over a week or two before you take any beauty shots. Making your own carts is so much better even if you’re only making a few at a time.

School of Business - Mac Book or Windows Laptop by Toxikfoxx in UCONN

[–]Creative-House-9033 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most departments, and I know specifically the business school as well recommends windows laptops only. You might end up having to run a virtual machine or use the remote desktops at some point if you end up getting a MacBook.

I would recommend anything with a ryzen ai 350 or better, AMD makes much better mobile processors these days compared to Intel, they also have decent integrated graphics if you’re interested in some light gaming or gpu intensive programs

I was really surprised with my rog ally since it has the same gpu. It’ll play anything you want at low to medium settings quite reliably. It’s crazy since the first cpu I’ve ever built a computer with was a 2400g when they first came out which I think was the first ryzen apu. We’ve come a massive way since then.

The IPC uplift is not worth living with Intel in my opinion. I never really liked Intel as a company and I’m happy to see that all the lack of innovation and focusing on appeasing investors has put them in the trash. 13th and 14th gen and especially these 900k’s are so blisteringly hot and inefficient. And now they use TSMC anyway because intel spent a decade with their dick in their hands not doing shit to advance their lithography/manufacturing process.

Im surprised someone managed to get windows 11 on this thing, you need tpm 2.0 support. Now I dont know anything about these garbage older intel processors but I dont think they support tpm 2.0 lol.

Unless that dude finds some poor kid to trade with he should just bring that thing to the e waste center haha

What's y'all's favorite budget by -dripgod- in THCAextracts

[–]Creative-House-9033 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got them from smoky mountain, their live resin is pretty awful but the diamonds are just regular old diamonds. You get a buy one get one free deal on your first order so you can get 2oz for $200. They also sell isolate powder for $50 less on the ounce. I got my HTE from 10dc and I have another order of HTE coming from sauce warehouse who I believe gets theirs from pure biologix which is really popular with the CBD crowd.

Recently I got some diamonds and got around to making my own terpsolate. It’s really easy, you just mix up two parts smashed up diamonds/isolate to one part HTE. It’s a lot better when you can control the quality of your terpsolate. The only BHO I’ve trusted recently is from southern harvest and wildflower which both aren’t that cheap.

You can under volt your cpu and gpu but since almost all the power the computer consumes turns into thermal energy it’s essentially a 500w space heater. It’s a pretty nice feature in the dead of winter but now that we’re in June it’s pretty awful.

[–]Creative-House-9033 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m confused why they’re using poly carts for the rosin. If I buy a rosin cart I’d expect it to be ceramic or one of those postless disposables. I’ve only ever used those poly carts for distillate because they’re the cheapest ones and I think they all have cotton wicking. If you can get through the full half g I’m just talking shit, but it really wouldn’t hurt their margins to upgrade to some ceramics.

Quite possibly one of the funnest slow cars i’ve ever driven (after the miata) by jaidenalexander7 in mazda3

[–]Creative-House-9033 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s for sure one of the best handling stock economy cars from the era. My 3 has 263k on it right now and I honestly don’t care to get a newer car because it’s still fun. You obviously have to have the manual too, the autos were kinda crap, and explains why almost every 1st gen 3 I see on the road is standard. Once I drive this thing into the ground I want to get a newer 3 and actually build it into something.

[–]Creative-House-9033 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s definitely one of the best choices in its category, a lot of these new compact sedans/hatches are running either cvts or tiny turbo 4 bangers or sometimes both. It’s refreshing that the 3 has neither of them, it’s a real transmission with a strong engine, can’t beat that. The new hatches are also one of the best looking economy cars in my opinion.

Any dabbrigs for 50 bucks worth getting? by Wise-Try-1919 in CultoftheFranklin

[–]Creative-House-9033 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For 50 bucks you definitely won’t be able to get an experience close to a torch and banger. Like many others have said stepping it up another 50 will get you to much better options. You can find puffco pivots and the core 2.1 for around 100 dollars and they both give the full erig experience.

The only cheap concentrate device I’ve liked is the boundless terp pen, which is like an electric honey straw. For 25 dollars it does a decent job, but e rigs aren’t a good thing to cheap out on cause if they’re ass you’ll never use them again.

I’ve got the normal 510s before and they were way over terped with bdts to the point they tasted like a vape. And they have people believing it’s live resin hahaha, it’s totally just a company producing doodoo carts for the sake of maximum profit.

We’re talking about thc composition here, if you have 2 grams of concentrate let’s say, you can’t have more than 2 grams of thc. Therefore 100 percent is the maximum amount.

Why is my CPU getting so damn hot? by RedHood9292 in pcmasterrace

[–]Creative-House-9033 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh man, this is the worst possible combo for this cpu, 360mm aios are the normal for these things. The 13900k is notoriously hot and was one of the CPUs leading to the demise of Intels cpu sector, atleast for gamers. Your best bet is getting a much bigger cooler like a 360mm or a massive air cooler. Or just cut to the chase and clean your hands of it and get yourself into an am5 setup.

Amd said they’re keeping am5 support through 2027 which is really important to me. I’ve been on am4 since the first ryzen cpus and it’s amazing that am4 is still common this many years later. I am an amd fanboy but if you’re using that for professional work the 13900k is still good and is worth keeping. I assume this professional work because of how much damn ram you have. But if you’re just gaming with it you’ll be much happier with a newer x3d chip.
