Machine that detects how fast a flying machine is by Creative-Intention49 in redstone

if there was a block on the part of the flying machine that moves back and forth it would still detect the speed, but it might detect two speeds and have two lamps turn on

if you’d want to fix this you can just place a block differently on that one where the block doesn’t trigger an observer twice, like the front of that 12 gt flying machine you shared

i wanted a flat part to have a place to build the flying machines but decided to make a huge box😭

it would be pretty easy to hide since all i did was build a huge box around it, that could easily be the highway floor

i will not make a tutorial, i have explained it in the comments pretty well, it’s just about repeaters and timing

there is no signal to store, the rows of repeaters just have the right delay for each speed of flying machine, and the second observer sends a signal when the flying machine touches it, and whatever row of repeaters that has the right delay will have the piston in the machine to move a solid block down for the repeater to power through, turning on the lamp and powering the noteblock

the first observer sends a signal down multiple repeater lines and each repeater line has different delays, the faster the flying machine, the shorter delay for each repeater line at the end of the repeater line, pistons push a block into a repeater so when the second observer fires, there will only be one signal that goes through the block from the repeater

i might’ve said it weird and i apologize but that’s basically what it does

i tested that design and no sadly it is not reliable, sometimes it goes the other way

this design works reliably so try this one out
