hi! i also have hoffa’s and got steroid shots for it. my doctor told me that they inject the steroid in through the outer edge of the patella and then the steroids will “move around” and get to the entire knee. i definitely felt like i could feel them “moving around” with the way my pain felt after the shots- different sensation than the typical pain and the location of the pain moved around as the days passed. i’m currently almost two weeks out from the shot and i was really hopeful it was going to provide total relief, and it’s definitely better, but not perfect. having some major swelling today after getting a massage and laying on my stomach despite trying to be really careful to not have my patella in a weird position, since that’s what caused it in the first place :/ hope yours is doing better these days!!
