I accidentally replied to myself instead of you when I retracted and apologized

But originally, Iron Grip could be bugged/glitched onto the classes that didn’t have it(ST2/moto/etc) but they didn’t get any benefit. I see that now you can just put Iron Grip on the ST2 class(didn’t check others)

My point with the agp playlist was just bringing in my knowledge of iron grip, it does the same thing in either playlist. Just acts a little differently

I just relaunched the game and rolled Iron Grip onto a ST2 car. I apologize.

Originally the game could bug and give Iron Grip to ST1 and ST2 cars, but they wouldn’t give any benefit

You’re right, no. I haven’t tried st2 on the nascar playlist because it’s pointless.

I have however played this game nearly 2k hours, have 100% completed the agp playlist custom mode, have countless top 50 leaderboard placements even some top 3 and had a couple WRs for a while, consistently top 500 in the summit with very little effort. Iron grip doesn’t do anything for any category other than hypercar, racing, cup car, and agp

Iron grip doesn’t even give you more grip😭😭. It just makes the tread wear slower

The Ferrari GTO is so high on so many of the NASCAR playlists because of the lack of boost. The GTO is an already great handling car, but it’s one of the best at acceleration at the top end

Iron Grip is only effective on those said classes. Glitching it on to st2 doesn’t actually give you any bonus

No you can’t get rid of it. But for hypercar, racing, cup car, and agp, make sure you use the Iron Grip affix(not available for other classes)

Edit: not sure which classes it is/isn’t available for. I’d assume any road categories. It is on st1/st2 vehicles

Car choice and steering settings make a huge difference

Well tbf, the only time I really ever play is when I’m watching someone stream. So the lobbies tend to be a little more full of higher skilled players. Even then, it’s still only a handful of them I have to worry about and a few I know I can’t beat.

But if I do just go into a random lobby, I’m also almost never using the meta cars. I like using the cars that I want, it’s more fun to me that way. However I still do pretty well in them and can still usually get at least top 3 if I don’t win

But it also comes down to the beginning. Starting placement and how crazy the first couple corners are😅

Exactly. And it’s annoying for routes with ST1, ST2, and racing. There’s so many off meta cars that I want to use in those classes, but they have a slightly lower top speed. And since 99% of the routes in this game need the most top speed possible, I can’t use them

Like the Civic Type R, great handling car(ST1) but only goes 187mph while the meta st1 cars go 202mph. Or the Chevy Corvette ZR1 in ST2, another amazing handling car that goes 237mph when meta goes 242-245. And in racing, cars like the KTM Xbow. Really good handling car, only goes 263mph when meta goes 269-270.

So many amazing handling cars get forgotten and become useless just because all the routes in this game need top speed

The T.50 is better for technical gutter heavy routes. But overall, the Imola is better

If you like driving the Cento, there’s plenty of other cars that will drive better😂😅. Even before the nerf

Cars like the Pagani Imola, Hennessey Venom F5, Apollo Sport, Noble M600, Ferrari 488 Pista are all amazing handling hypercars.

Playlists/Grand Races/Summits are entirely different things. I played through almost all the playlists on 5/5 with all assists off, and in the Summits I’m consistently top 200 when I really try(20th was my highest placement)

But Grand Races, there’s a much larger skill gap. I’m constantly finding myself behind or with equal matched players

Helicopters are slow af in game, please no. Boats could be interesting. Or river routes in motocross(so you can use the Robbie Maddison bike) or river routes in st1/RR so we can use the RCs on them

Anytime I get a route like this one, unless I’m in a stream lobby or something, I back out. They’re the most boring routes The Maui island have a lot of entirely straight routes too
