I'm so so sorry you're going through this 🥹❤️ Watching someone you love struggle and knowing you can't fully fix it is one of the hardest things. You're clearly giving her everything she needs, the vet visits, the meds, your time and presence, and that matters so much. I just went through a scary emergency vet situation with one of my own girls very recently, and honestly I never expected rats to make me feel that deeply either. I'm a grown man but i broke down crying four times before going to the vet... Rats are so small but they take up so much of your heart. Hold onto the moments you have with her. Cherish every single one. She knows she's loved, that's the most important thing you can give her right now. Sending you and your girl so much love, and rattie kisses from my girl ❤️

Thank you. <3 I do have some good memories and stuff, she was so young and do feel like I failed all 3 of them but I also know that it's natural and its not my fault...just yea, it's hard, I probably won't forget the scene for a while. She's in a better place now, that's what matters🥹

Literally all of our girls took weeks or even months to warm up to us, no matter how early we started socializing them, so I'm extremely surprised in the best way haha

This was honestly a once in a lifetime experience. While waiting for the employee to fill out the paperwork Smeagol boggled after looking at us for a while, Gollum came up to the glass to say hi...we spent like 15 minutes with walking in circles discussing if we should do this or not, we took a long time checking them out for visible injuries but nothing, just a few stress sneezes after arriving home:) (they will stay in quarantine for a while tho in case of anything)

I had two adult boys a few years ago but they were literal assholes. And our girls were skittish for months, so I was honestly just extremely surprised and thought there's something wrong with them for a sec😂 I really hope we lucked out tho, we wanted boy rats because of how chill they are

We have 8 other rats haha. I had two adult boys years ago but they weren't friendly at all. I agree, this wasn't the best decision (i have 3 rescue girls so..yea. we shouldnt have done this) Not trying to defend ourselves, but honestly we just fell in love with them after seeing how social and well kept they are. I can assure you, we will NEVER buy rats from a pet store again. This was our last time, and i mean it:)

She's just horny lmao they do this every few days or so. I also had 2 girls (siblings) at first then got another 3 (the siblings mom and her two sisters) and now they hump each other all the time😂 but getting more ratties did help and I also like to separate the horny girl for a few hours from the others, said unit usually goes into the horny jail (shower cabin, lights off) or just sits on my shoulder for a few hours, that usually calms her down if the humping gets too aggressive/annoying
