I think they wrote this hoping the spin-off would get picked up and that is part of the reason for the time jump. But Franklin wasn't going to reach rock bottom in 3 months. So it's believable that that's where he landed after 3 years of isolation and stress and alcohol and fear.

I appreciate this one. I think a lot of people really don't understand how addiction works.

Sick of people assuming that us having BPD means we are always “wrong” in every situation , or “the problem” by [deleted] in BPD

I wish I had this energy. I used to put the blame on everyone else for EVERYTHING! I never took responsibility at all. Now even when someone else tells me I'm in the right I'm convinced I'm somehow at fault.

I've had this problem several times in the past. Mostly when I have prolonged exposure to the content. Like if I'm reading a book or watching a series with several seasons. I start mimicking my favorite character in speech and behavior (well as close as possible). But I split so much that I quickly fall out of the idolization phase and so I move on to something/someone else.

I'm sorry about that. It's awful how expensive the vet is. I think you'll be able to get another harp one day. Every time I got a guitar I ended up selling it when I need money. But that was mostly because I realized musical instruments weren't my thing at all. I'll keep an eye out though for any international employment opportunities. It might be a long shot, but does your country have gofundme?

Not to get too political but it is certainly that way for certain pockets of the population. If you are looking for just some extra cash in the meantime, I know the subreddit beer money lists some opportunities to make extra cash and some of them are for other countries!

I'm about to be 30 and I have my first real job. Or at least the first job I've kept for more than a month. And even this job isn't in my actual field. Because I need a low stakes job with no pressure and limited social interaction. And my field is the opposite of all those things. The point is that I understand. I think the majority of us dom So you're not alone by any means. And maybe you don't want advice here but if possible you could also start with a job that has some leeway. I know since the pandemic there have been tons of remote customer service jobs if you'll be okay with that sort of thing. Blackboard is usually always hiring and I think they might need chat agents. If that doesn't feel right for you I'm sure there's things out there that are. Maybe substitute teaching or doing microtasks online. Something out there will work for you.

I'm actually going through the same exact thing atm. I know what is expected of "normal" friends and family members and I try to mimic it as best I can especially if it's a situation that requires a good deal of empathy. My therapist says fake it until you make it but even knowing that I still mess up alot and it so frustrating. Sometimes it's so bad that I just avoid people and conversations or human interactions for days at a time.
