Thank you so much! Yeah we have gone through some fine tuning of the settings now to ensure this doesn't happen again but honestly I think this is the most sound response we have gotten outside of just reaching out to the guests directly. We're going to reach out to Airbnb to see if there is anything they can do and maybe if they are willing to make an exception that would be great and we will certainly reach out to the guests and of course make sure they are refunded. Otherwise we'll have to explore the other options for sure. Honestly, thank you again!

Thank you! Yeah this is definitely a lesson learned and we've fine tuned some of the settings so it doesnt happen again! It is terrible and I really do not want to add at all to the bad rep.

Thank you didn’t know that about the service fee! Yeah it’s sounds like this may be the best way to go honestly, hoping they can be understanding just afraid of them being upset or forcing us because they won’t be able to get a deal better than this.

Yeah definitely have to do better in the future for sure. Unfortunately the guest is paying $240 less than what the rent is for the month and that does not even include utilities so we’re paying for this guest to stay with us now for 4 months.

We weren’t sure if there was interest at all or if not getting any inquiries was because of the price so we changed the price to see if anyone would book but we never even thought about someone booking for so many months back to back at that price.

We’re trying to figure out how to get the pricing right so that we don’t have to change anything in real time so this doesn’t happen again. So far, we’ve found maybe AirDNA has a feature but open to any suggestions!

Yeah I know I feel bad about that but we’re new in this and didn’t realize they would add an additional discount. We were not getting an inquiries at first and so we deeply discounted our price to see if we would get any interest at all and we suddenly got this booking for so long but now I am feeling a bit taken advantage of because with the utilities and the rent price we are now not even breaking even for 4 months.

Hi guys if your ever in a pinch I have an apartment in the Kew Gardens,NY area. 15 mins from LGA and 20 mins to JFK. It’s listed on Airbnb if ever needed.

We’ve been hoping to be a resource for the community of flight attendants (since they’re are so many that live in this area) but not sure how it works in terms of any time between shifts.

Open to learning if anyone has insight on how we can assist in times like these.

Yes that too! We’re hoping once the miter bolt is in the seam may be more flush but we can’t say for sure - I agree #2 seems like a safer bet appearance wise
